No. What you believe was a legitimate reason is nothing more than your lack of independent thinking. It is your refusal to believe that the "white lie" is nothing but an excuse. Independent thinking does not equal being right. But since you brought it up...how do you think a majority of the scientific discoveries made throughout history were made? It required independent thinking. Many believed that Earth was the center of the solar system. It took one man, who went against the mainstream by thinking independently, to suggest that the Sun was the center of the solar system. Many scoffed at this suggestion. But you know what? He then proved his theory. Something you, Nancy and all her other supporters have been unable to do...many haven't even tried. Nancy simply expects others to believe her just because she said so.

The science taught in school is based on hundreds of years of observation and study done by independent thinkers in the past.

petitionproject.org is stretching the numbers when it claims the numbers of "scientists" - they include any one with any degree in science - even fields that are miles apart from those concerned with the climate.

Nancy's explanation at least makes sense, unlike academic science, geology in particular. and her/Zeta explanation fits with my own thinking prior i knew about theirs. we agree on this.
