How you debunker FOOLS can go on and on saying everything is OK, everything is FINE, and that there are no dangers lurking out there other than one's own individual limitations is BEYOND ME!!

None of us has said that there aren't dangers out there. None of us has said everything is fine. However, none of those dangers have anything to do with the mythical planet eX.

Don't you have anything better to do than support your high priestess?

The best advice we can give on this matter is to read with your heart as well as your mind. Follow the flow, let the nuances lie unanswered and unchallenged in your mind. Treat this as a garden you are walking through for the first time, and experience it fully without trying to categorize it! Much of what you will learn will be processed in your subconscious, and influence your conscious mind later. If you must dissect each phrase, and correlate it with each piece of information taken from another source, you will trash much of what you could otherwise gain. Live in the gray, not always insisting on black and white and strict compartmentalizations.

People are only ALLOWED to have one 'understanding', Andrew.

Why was a post removed from a guy suggesting the use of STELLARIUM and why is even the use of GOOGLE discouraged?

Please note how Andrew is afraid to address Menow's question.
 Quoting: DrPostman

I doubt Andrew has the intelligence to look it up, let alone understand.

Maxi has the same problem, admission of even a single error throws years of bowing and scraping at Nancy's feet into the bin thereby demonstrating Maxi is nothing more than a strung along puppet and gullible to boot!

In other news, I did an install of Fedora Linux on the laptop...now I'm trying to figure out how to get the Broadcom BCM4306 wireless adapter to work. The kernel is supposed to have a driver for it but I found out it doesn't work. Others have mentioned something called NDISWrapper, but having no previous experience with UNIX/Linux, I know nothing about downloading it and installing it...or compiling it. I'm only on my second week of this UNIX class.

The book used in the class is "Fedora 10 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Bible" so it came with Fedora. But I've heard that Ubuntu is easier and more popular. I downloaded it yesterday and have the iso saved. I just thought I would try working with Fedora since the class is centered around it right now.

I thought about doing a dual boot on my desktop, but the book warns that can be tricky so I've thought about doing a virtual machine on the desktop. The laptop, however, doesn't get used much and had Windows XP on it. It was running really slow so I decided to wipe out everything on it and do a full custom install of Fedora...but I can easily change that to Ubuntu. I just have to burn the image to a CD or DVD and run it on the laptop.

Sorry to go off topic, but the PC I built is working! Man is it working. This thing is fast, and the 24" Asus 2 ms display is beautiful.

Took me about 3 hours to build it. Two hours of that was spent troubleshooting a problem that didn't even exist, but that's a story for another day.

Windows 7 Home Premium, 8 gig of 1333 RAM, a quad-core processor, a Radeom 7580 video card, and a Velociraptor HD. Oh, and I've got the whole thing booming out 100 watts of recycled home theatre component goodness in 5.1 channel surround.

Time to slay some errant monsters!

No, it's people who share Nancy's understanding without question or dissent.

Pray tell us all how long does a post last on the ning if it doesn't follow Nancy's dogma?

I'll answer that for you - less than an hour.

less than an HOUR?

Figured out how to run a Windows based application using WINE but since this laptop doesn't have a serial port, I need to use a USB to serial adapter (Belkin F5U409) and I can't figure out how to install the driver. I got the package for it..umct.4.gz but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it to install the driver.
