Also, for about $250.00 altogether, I "finally" got my earthquake shutoff valve installed on my gas line today. The plumber had never even "seen" one (and was QUITE curious). He did a GREAT job. I'm now probably one of the VERY few folks in the Midwest to actually have one. At least I can have less "concern" about my house burning down in an earthquake aftermath ...

A gasline shutoff is required by virtually all building codes. How do you think the gas company shuts off gas to your house should maintenance be required?

And it's never safe to assume that just because an earthquake hasn't happened in `recorded history' in an area, that one isn't possible (the Newcastle earthquake here in Oz was an example of this, although there had been large earthquakes in the past, the last was over a century before the 89 one and so `everyone' thought it was an earthquake free zone (despite some small tremors being felt every now and then, none of the general public thought a major earthquake was something that could happen there)

My house is 140 years old, and framed with 100% OAK. A good solid house, to be sure. Unfortunately, it sits upon a VERY unreinforced masonry and fieldstone foundation.

I don't expect that to hold up very well ... which is the MAJOR consideration in getting the seismic valve.

I was the guy in Sydney (Oz) that had the binoculars with the sunnies on watching the Venus transit by projecting it onto a piece of paper (the binoculars had the sunnies on, not me that is)

nancy was saying everyone who was posting pics (well I didnt do that cause I didnt have the means at the time) showing the venus transit happening was either a paid shill(which as I was living at my uncles house free of rent because I was jobless seems to knock that theory out of the water)
or that te ebul `NASA' had fiddled with the optics to make it appear that the Venus transit was happening when it wasn't
(um `te ebul NASA' agents actually came all the way to OZ, broke into my uncles flat and found the binoculars hidden in the back of the video cabinet and inserted a machine that made the transit appear to be happening when it wasn't...)

this was before she backflipped because it was clearly obvious that the transit that wouldn't happen had... - then started the `oh the zetas moved everything around to make it appear all normal' crap


She has lied, changed her story, and generally been wrong so many times that ANYONE (and I mean anyone ) who has watched her in action for more than 6 months HAS to admit she is a lying old bag or has their own interests involved in supporting her `never ending story' of bullshitte

its interesting that all her supporters have eventually dropped off and gone away (grown up perhaps??)

having known several teenagers who for a while either supported or were ambiguous about the moon landings and similar type conspiracies, who eventually grew out of it, many of nancys supporters fit the profile of bored anti establishment teens

even the ones who say they are successful (insert high paying job here)often exhibit not so much role playing, but genuinely confused young adults still finding their way in life- often projecting what they want (lots of money, held in high esteem etc etc) as opposed to what they show themselves to be after more than a few posts (confused, easily misled, gullible and easily duped by people who aren't that `nice' but have a smooth line of patter- i.e. nancy and her ilk)

I have never felt comfortable using the term debunker...it was in use long before I appeared. I welcome Soledad's use of "heckler" and I shall use it from now on. If you had bothered to read any of my previous posts, you would know that I took Circuit Breaker's words to heart and then, expressed my own misgivings about the word "debunker".
