Max, undoubtedly, your admitting that you were wrong and were misled by Nancy is the major thing that most here are looking for. As for your financial situation, sure, I was looking to meet you in person to see the kind of person who is so naive and gullible as to fall for such foolishness, but I will accept a $150 gift certificate to Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Columbia, SC in lieu of a personal meeting. Letting you completely off the hook is not in the cards, though, since YOU made the bet. Your public admission on this thread of your and Nancy's failure along with the gift certificate will be considered debt paid in full.

I've thought about a 9100 since I helped put a D-Star machine up on Cheyenne Mtn. I didn't even know you were licensed, Hap. The one thing I don't like about the IC-9100 is the blue on white display and lack of full time spectrum scope. But I do like that it covers everything!

Anyone have any suggestions on how to tie off the ends of a dipole? I used rope to tie one leg to a fence post and the other leg to a tree branch. Came home this evening to find the leg tied to the fence post on the ground and the rope either gnawed through by a squirrel or intentionally cut by one of my neighbors.

And what does this have to do with what I posted and you quoted. Did I even mention Clif? Why do you insist on avoiding any mention of Nancy's failures and hiding behind your latest doom god? Are you trying to throw the attention off Nancy to avoid paying your bet?

I gave up when I sold the house back in 2001 to the city for use as park land. I regretted pulling down the 40' Rohn tower and the Mosley five-band antenna (used the Merc to do that). Had no other way to do it and no one wanted to come out and take the antenna down (I was giving the thing away). Turned it all into scrap steel and aluminum. Oh well...

Used to run a Yaesu FT-890 and upgraded to a FT-760 with 2m and 440. Unfortunately, have no place to run a rig (living in a rented condo in FL while I work a DOD contract gig). Sold all the equipment a while back.

...as for Nancy's supposed short wave project - it went no where. Money wasted probably on one of her other projects (i.e., diverted from it's original purpose).

Well, it looks like the weather will be great this weekend for putting up this new antenna. Originally, it was supposed to be cloudy and 29. Now it's supposed to be sunny and 50.

Everything he's predicted so far has been a complete failure. Why will now be any different?

Notice how Max didn't even acknowledge Hap's post where he says a gift card will do. Notice how Max quotes comments about Nancy and her failed 2012 is too far out prediction and instead of commenting on that quote, he talks about Clif. Notice how Max is still a snivelling weasel, a dickless man, a eunuch, who makes bets and then tries to slither out of them and divert attention.Good luck getting your gift card, Hap. You have left him no excuses for not paying up, and Max once again shows that he doesn't deserve such consideration.

It's not the end of the year yet so I'll give Max the benefit of the doubt that he'll pay up. Max has admitted that Nancy is wrong in the past...although he mostly offers excuses. Nancy, on the other hand, doesn't admit being wrong EVER. We've seen what she does when proven wrong...she blames the error on someone or something else (i.e. the "Zetas" or their inferior technology in chip implants).

I've been licensed since 1976. The monochromes display is very detailed and very readable, and I don't have much use for a real-time spectrum analyzer since I don't do much DX'ing. If I want that, I'll just hook up one of my real lab quality spectrum analyzers!
