Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
Yes the infamous Venus transit
I was living down in Sydney at the time, and had myself a nice little setup to watch it all happening

Nothing flash- just a pair of binoculars, with sunglasses elastic banded over the front, projecting onto a whiteboard.
Had the laptop out there too, with (I beleve) the Canberra observatory webcam on display

nancy was raving about how the evil Nasa had substituted faked webstreams and faked photos, I wish I could find those threads again, they were a classic nancy uturn

First it wasnt happening (I found it particularly interesting that the `evil Nasa agents' had actually come to Oz, found my uncles binoculars hidden in the back of the lounge tv cabinet, modified them to display the Venus transit, then installed a self destruct mechanism so that after the transit had finished, no evidence of their device could be found...

Eventually nancy was forced simply by the sheer volume of photos, blogs, newspaper articles, tv shows etc to admit that it actually `had happened' but only because the zetas had towed Venus into the correct position to make it happen....

I PMSL that day as she desperately tried to recover some shreds of dignity and control- Afterwards she simply cut and run and didnt appear for a few weks, then came strolling back in as if nothing had happened...

very nice indeed

I have never been on 6m, got a car 2m and handheld 2m, and of course the old TS180S on shortwave, but it only goes up to 10m

old and sure doesn't have all the bells and whistles of an FT950....

(keyboard and monitor ports, inbuilt keyer????)

I rarely use morse these days anyway (got a manual key and an auto key as well, but as I said, rarely use them)- in fact I dont think I have used either once since setting up here, and that was close to 3 years ago....

So what will it be, Hap? A juicy oversized TBone with mushrooms and onions, baked potato? Yum. Come on Max, you have admitted Nancy's credibility has been destroyed. There are just a few days for the "2012 is too far out" prediction to be undeniably wrong. Save yourself the embarrassment and send the man his gift card. I would be able to respect you a little if you did that.

I've been on vacation from work for the last couple of weeks and just about forgot about the upcoming master FAIL of Nancy and Max. I've already told him that a gift certificate would be fine, although I'd really love to meet face to face to see what kind of idiot falls for such foolishness.

We'll see in another week what kind of character Max is.

Ah yes...I was involved in the conversation with Nancy when she claimed that the Venua transit could not possibly happen. Funny thing, it did...exactly as predicted over 100 years earlier. But her claim that the "zetas" pulled Venus into place so that it was appear to happen as predicted was hilarious!

But one of my favorite Nancy gaff's was when she had to admit after being proven wrong that she had never known the difference between the az/el and RA/Dec coordinate systems! Here she was, claiming to have given all manor of astronomical coordinates for years, and then we come to find out that she didn't know the most basic thing about observational astronomy taught in every Astronomy 101 class!

Why would I be jealous of you? What do you have that I would be jealous of? Absolutely nothing.

I just barely squeaked by with code for my Advanced license. Never used it and have completely forgotten it. Well, let's not say never...I did use an interface (can't remember what it was called) that converted keyboard strokes into code and translated code back into text.

Unfortunately, I haven't been on air since early 2000 when I sold everything off and tore down the tower.

One of these days I might get back in...I've got an acre of land in the sticks (about 20 minutes from the west coast of south Florida) where I could put up a nice tower and antenna.

Tell the truth, I did the same- just made it, then hardly ever used it again
Not particularly surprising, my interests were more along the packet radio lines which at the time required a full call so I had to get it to be able to use packet. Personally I would be quite happy to see morse dropped altogether, I know personally several people that were dead keen radio enthusiasts and interested in packet or vox, who either operated illegally either as unliscenced hams or on cb until they were caught, or simply passed onto other interests- all to the long term loss of the amateur radio hobby.

All too much these days the airwaves are empty, and it wont be much longer until the few aging amateur radio enthusiasts simply wont be able to justify keeping the wide array of bands they currently have. The attitude of many on air also tend to drive away many people who otherwise would love getting on air. This will again (imho) drive the hobby numbers down until it basically ceases to exist

Zeta Talk Q&A 24 December 2011

 Quoting: Wonkish

from there:
----------------------------------------------------------
I have noticed this week that CNN mentioned that flooding had occurred before the storm hit the Philippines and in the subsequent news story they mentioned the migrant ship from Indonesia sinking near the coast of Australia. Is there a change of opinion at CNN because it sounds likes they are not only backing up your predictions but also trying to put emphasis on them? [and from another] Refugee Ship Drifts in Political Stalemate [Aug 29, 2001] [link to articles.cnn.com] Australia has refused to allow the Tampa to dock since the container ship rescued the asylum seekers on Sunday from their sinking Indonesian fishing boat. The ship is still in Australian waters, floating five nautical miles off the coast of Christmas Island, an Australian territory 217 miles south of Indonesia. [and from another] Tropical Storm Washi Drenching the Philippines [Dec 17, 2011; 4:42 AM ET] [link to www.accuweather.com] Tropical Storm Washi has already begun to unleash heavy rainfall on the southern Philippines, and more is on the way.
------------------------------------------------------------

Um- I was skim reading and this bit caught my eye (ovbiously it missed nancy's)
The Tampa???

um have I just stepped into a timewarp and lost a decade?

Even the date there showed it indeed happened back in 2001 (which is correct) but somehow this is justifying a news story in 2011 on CNN????

Sorry but thats just plain weird thinking (if that name can ever be applied to anything coming from a zetatard)

Thats just odd.....

I haven't gotten it yet. The main reason I'm able to get it at all is that the school I'm attending over-charged me for classes so I'm getting a refund. I'm buying a used FT-950 from a guy over in Salida, CO...at least that's the plan right now. He's only had it since April and wants $1250 for it...but I've seen others out there for less so I may pursue one of those instead.

Now they don't have a code test at all. I got my license when 5 WPM were required just for the Novice and there wasn't a "no code" tech. I advanced to Technician about a year later but sat there for years...mostly because my code speed wasn't sufficient to get the General class. Shortly after I got my Tech license, my parents split and I ended up in a location where I couldn't operate except from a car so I had no need to move up to General. In 2000, though, I rented a house and got permission from the landlord to put up an HF antenna in the backyard and a VHF antenna on the roof. Since the house was on top of a 300 ft hill, my modest set up worked quite well. About that time, the code requirement for all class of licenses was lowered to 5 WPM. Since I already had that, all that needed to be done was take the written test. I studied for about two weeks and took the General test and then took the Extra test about a month later.

Code is still required there? The ITU did away with any code requirement in 2003...leaving it up to each country to decide whether to require a code test. The U.S. did away with it in 2006, with the rules going into effect in 2007.

You really have to love the morons that 1) think contrails are "chemtrails" and 2) believe they're an attempt to keep people from seeing "Planet X." Cheap entertainment.

Thread: Chemtrails to hide Nibiru.. Pics taken minutes ago!..

The one thing that these idiots apparently fail to think about is that the Earth rotates. Therefore, this "rogue planet" moves through the sky. To keep it hidden would require a fleet of aircraft to be flying 24/7 365 all over the world. If it was just a few aircraft, "Planet X" would eventually emerge from behind whatever "chemtrail" it was behind. Even if Earth were stationary, all one would have to do is drive a certain direction for a certain length of time and they would get to a location where the viewing angle would be different enough that the "chemtrail" no longer blocked this "planet" from view. But, facts and logic escape the mentally disabled.

It was dropped a few years back here as well and a `foundation' class liscence introduced which was supposed to help introduce newcomers, but unfortunately most people these days view amateur radio as `old guys on expensive cb's'

It doesn't help that in order to get the liscence you have to sit an exam- there are so few examiners and the exams take place in so few places that most people simply couldn't be bothered. A friend of mine tried to get his liscence just before I moved interstate, he had to wait 3 months for an exam to take place `locally'- and by locally I mean in his part of the state- he had to take two days off work and drive nearly 300 km to get to the place they held the exams...

I mean- in this day and age- is that REALLY necessary???
How many people are willing to go to that much trouble for what is `supposed' to be an enjoyable hobby?

(I really need to stop gettting up on that horse LOL)

I have no problems with tests...to me, if you want it bad enough you'll work for it and it will be that much more rewarding afterwards. But - it does sound like a rather arduous task down there. It used to be that way here back in the day when you had to test with the FCC.

Many amateurs are trying to figure out a solution to attract people to the hobby. The problem is - there's no single solution because there are multiple reasons why it's dying off. The way I see it, at least here in the states, the reasons for declining interest has to do with the Internet, cell phones, lack of time and restrictions on antennas. Those are probably the biggest ones.

Admittedly I haven't checked for nearly two years now, but the last time I did, the most populated state in Oz (NSW) had a total of fifteen part time examiners and held exams every 3 months in a total of seven towns ie not in Sydney
That was a lot better than our smallest state down in Tassie, they had a total of 5 (3 of which couldn't do all exams only the more basic ones) and there you have a choice of Hobart, Hobart orrrr... Hobart
Now Tasmania is small- but it's not THAT small

The other thing is the number of councils that have outright banned any form of tower at all, I had issues and had to cut my tower down 3m because anything over 7m (21ft) high isnt allowed without a lot of paperwork. Not ALL councils have this problem, but enough that it can be a real issue for many towns

Antenna restrictions really annoy me to no end and I don't see why more amateurs don't get behind efforts to change it. Most of the ones in the U.S. are of the mindset that if you bought a house with antenna restrictions then that's your problem. They fail to realize that this is a GROWING problem as more and more city and county governments implement such restrictions. And you won't find ANY newly built neighborhood without restrictions banning antennas entirely. I see it this way - you have many rights in the world, but the right to NOT be offended by something isn't one of them. I don't feel anyone should have the right to squash my "pursuit of happiness" simply because they don't like the look of my antenna(s). Maybe I don't like the way they have their yard landscaped, but nothing gives me the right to tell them how it should be done.

Interesting.

Are you, then, jealous of each of the debunkers?

This is one of my favorite moments too. And it all happened here on her weekly chat. How many times did she ban people and delete their posts on her threads for pointing out her errors? And then she finally read a bit trying to find something that would prove her right and found the opposite. She admitted that she had been mistaken, but she didn't apologize to those she insulted and used the ban hammer on for trying to explain things to her. She basically said, ok I was confused about how to read coordinates, but all coordinates I have given are right. LOL. She lost a lot of credibility then, and when this thread was started and most stopped posting on her chat threads, she began to realize that only a few morons and sock puppets were swallowing her bs, so she moved on to the ning.

Clif says in his latest radio interview, that the ONE thing he was most proud of, was his complete dedication to INTELLECTUAL HONESTY.
 Quoting: **ZetaMax**

Then he ought to actually try it sometime instead of making a bunch of false predictions. Let us know when he starts.

Clif says that this upcoming winter in the Northern Hemisphere will be ***SO*** severe, that they will be talking about it 500 years from now.

He says there will be SO MUCH snow and ice, that it will not all melt next summer, and some will still be on the ground when late 2012 snow starts to fall.

So there you go!!!

Clif and Max wrong again. This is shaping up to be the warmest winter in decades in the Great White North. A friend in Ontario tells me it got up to 16c yesterday. In Vancouver it was 12c. The weather network reported that 85% of Canadians had a green Christmas this year. Even Winterpeg had a warm day, they can almost always count on frigid snowy Christmases.

WRONG - Clif on his last radio show with the "Time Monks" changed his projections for this winter. He now says that we will have a warmer than usual winter, punctuated with a couple of very severe winter storms rivaling or even surpassing last winter's midwest blizzard that was one of the biggest in the memory of most living folks.

Clif's earlier prediction for a severely cold winter, was based on incomplete data. In his latest runs, the immediacy data provided such clarity, that Clif was compelled to completely re-evalute his projections for the coming "season".

I admire his humility and flexibility and willingness to change directions when trends indicate that such is necessary!

A merry Yule to all, may you get your wishes fulfilled but only if you deserve it...

Lets not forget the house is freehold, Nancy ploughed 10's of thousands into upgrades all paid for by TT.

Rewiring, the grounds, the gatehouse, the "front room" and so on.

And Yes Melfey, I do have the original data.

So he waffled and changed his prediction when it became apparent he would be wrong again. What a moron you are Max. What kind of idiot releases a report with predictions based on incomplete data? And then does a 180. Now either way, he will consider himself right, and idiots like Maxipads will defend him. Gawd you are gullible!
