Until you can prove that your god exists, religious beliefs are irrelevant to this discussion. Discrimination is wrong and must not be enshrined in law. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1138061 God created Adam and Eve, NOT ADAM and ADAM or EVE and EVE. The One Main Reason for this is because you need both sexes to PRODUCE. Two men cannot produce?? Two women cannot produce?? This is just common sense. Also in order for a little boy to become a REAL MAN, he must have a MALE FATHER in the home to help raise him, the same goes for a Proper little girl, a FEMALE MOTHER figure. Now don't throw in marriage issues in this topic, these are just the facts. A child who is blessed to be raised by TWO PARENTS OF OPPOSITE SEX IN THE HOUSE HOLD, will grow up PROPERALLY. Ex: My nephew's father took off when he was a baby. (didn't want to deal with being a dad), so my nephew grew up 18 years in an ALL WOMAN HOUSEHOLD. Now he is Feminane and just announced he's gay???? There are always problems when Both parents of the opposite sex don't step up to the plate to raise the children. Sorry for my spelling, it's early. |

The other aspects of child rearing, the social aspects need to have balance too. That is one of the huge pitfalls of single parent families, whether through divorce or choice of an unwed motherhood. But a child in a single parent family has 1/2 of the balance, a child with 2 moms or 2 dads gets a double dose of one side, twice as unballanced. Well, not exaclty because one partner might have normal traits for his gender while the other has opposite traits. But I still see it as more unballanced than a mom/dad/child relationship |

Mom/Dad/Child Relationship sure, in a perfect world, but this is far from perfect. Everyone needs to be loved. It does not matter if its a single mom, a single dad, a violent straight couple, two men, two women, or a grandmother. Teach children love, respect, and compassion and this world would be far better than it is today. God does not care, he teaches love, so you claim. Not hate and bigotry. |

You use the slippery slope arguement when you decide to not give to a panhandler and encourage him to repeat his behavior, you believe he will return later to ask for more money. Any form of debate can be made false by taking it to ridiculous extremes. I apologize for having done that in my post |

The legal definition of a partnership is generally stated as "an association of two or more persons to carry on as co-owners a business for profit" (Revised Uniform Partnership Act § 101 [1994]). Marriage The legal status, condition, or relationship that results from a contract by which one man and one woman, who have the capacity to enter into such an agreement, mutually promise to live together in the relationship of Husband and Wife in law for life, or until the legal termination of the relationship BTW, many people today 'write' their own vows, whch may or may not include the phrase 'til death do we part' Many people today have terms spelling out a divorce stlllement in advance.. pre-nups. A counselor told us that is was good for the kids to 'play' us, to go to the one they thought suited their immediate needs better. Maybe I would let them visit friends and she would give them snacks. Whatever. Anyway she said the kids learned a lesson on how to get what they need, a talent that would serve them in adulthood. I didn't completely agree, but it is a point that illustrates balance.
