Quoting: Goofy for God and Patricia grew from a tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane in just 24 hours—a near-record pace. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] Tropical Storm Hermine is now roughly 12 hours from landfall along Florida's Gulf Coast, potentially as the state's first hurricane landfall since Hurricane Wilma in 2005. MaximusRex User ID: 37431642 United States 09/01/2016 12:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quite interesting how the models are picking this up. We are kind of at the point that real time forecasting will be more effective than model forecasting. If you look at the AVN sat you can see all of the convection is still the east of the center. Intensification will be slow if that does not wrap around the center (strong tropical storm at landfall). IF this convection can wrap into the center I will tell you now that rapid intensification and deepening would be extremely likely and a CAT 2 or 3 would still not be out of the question. Just taking a peek at the water vapor imagery, it looks like its trying to pop some convection in the center. The next 1-4 hours could be critical at determining what level of intensification this storm could possible reach. Quoting: MaximusRex [link to www.ssd.noaa.gov] That's rich coming from the tard who relies on nothing but weather models and his own obvious infinite intellect who told us this storm posed no threat whatsoever and should have dissipated by now... At no point did I ever say this would dissipate, except when after its moves past Florida over the Atlantic-- it would either be absorbed or become extra-tropical. Your arrogance knows no bounds. You were quite happy to pick and choose specific weather models to inform us all there was no potential threat heading our way and then 24 on the day of the event happening you finally come round to the idea that the models might be of little use for this highly unpredictable storm you suddenly announce it could explode to a cat 2-3. In doing so you become a hypocrite for accusing others of doing the same and yet they are the ones being fear mongerers. At least we were warning people of this potential well before time, unlike you who was encouraging folk to become complacent telling them that there was no threat even when the professional mets said otherwise. Its never going to landfall, and its not forecasted to becomes a hurricane. Stop being a chicken little fear mongerer. Quoting: Maximus Rex 72151262 Just stop it dude. |

Not sure if the westerly winds have lessen, but eagerly anticipating the next vortex message to see if the pressure has significantly dropped below the current 991mb. [link to www.ssd.noaa.gov] |

Gonna fry up some organic garlic cloves in olive oil, a natural antibiotic. Quoting: Ms. Superduper And, my calves began a massive itching last night. What is THAT? My mom used to always talk about 'ground itch', but I haven't been on the ground. Ha. Little doggy needs to get focused on why she's being taken outside. lol. Thanks for this thread, GFG. Quoting: Maximus Rex 72151262 "Just stop it dude." from Maximus Rex AC72901678: It's okay in his mind for him to call you a "chicken little fear mongerer" after he said it was never going to landfall, but now he is in his element, sounding like an expert on a sure thing. If that's all he's got going from Mom's basement, we should probably let him enjoy it. (p.s., besides Cantore, you are also my hurricane hero.)
