If I were you I would have took that offer Fame brings a curse to people unaccustomed to it. Everyone wanting to know everything about you to figure out how to screw you over and get away with it. Bill Gates has to employ bodyguards for his kids because of their immense wealth and the fact it makes them a target. Sure I could and do buy lotto tickets for hundreds of millions of dollars. But if I won, it would root my life as I know it. That's why I only want to win a couple of million because it grants me the middle class lifestyle while blending in with anonymity of the masses. |

Second - power imbalances are incredibly bad in a relationship. Some bondage in the bedroom is one thing, but when the person you're dating owns the police and you can't get out of the relationship - you've moved onto levels of bondage that aren't fun. They could have access to every other drug, and god knows they were flowing in, but there was no crack allowed over the lines into the neighborhood. Three years they followed it. Three years the residents did not do the drug. Mind you, I also had to negotiate with the local gangs to keep it on their side, but I assure you, keeping the crack money did not make them unhappy.
