It's not about what you think it's about. It's not even about what many other Freemasons think it's about.

while doing masonry do you prefer to use the old-school bubble levels? Or have you graduated to the new school laser type levels?

Also, what is the proper ratio of lime to Sand in your mortar mix?

No game playing here. I am building the mass intention website as promised and for the reasons I stated.

The fact that I am a Freemason should have no bearing on that whatsoever. It is only the misconception in your mind about what you think it means for someone to be a Freemason.

The 33rd degree is an honorary rite usually given to those who spend a lot of time at the lodge and participate. I most likely will never make 33rd degree as I am a lone wolf by nature and do not attend lodge very often, maybe once or twice a year, just so I don't feel too much like a "paper mason".

The truth of the matter is that I joined Freemasonry to find out once and for all what is was about after having read so many different theories about it. What I found was nothing nefarious in the least bit. Contrast this to the time I was asked to join a local Chapter of the Golden Dawn and I bugged out in mid ritual while I was in the antechamber waiting to get initiated - I suddenly felt a very real sense that linking into this group was a VERY bad idea, so I walked out without saying a word to anyone.

At any rate. The modern Masonic lodge is unfortunately nothing more than a social guild. It is based however on the traditional western lodge magickal society. They do practice magick in the lodge. The funny thing is that 98% of the guys doing it do not know that is what they are doing. They are simply going through the motions without understanding the significance of the symbols and energies behind those symbols being worked. I was very disappointed to find this out hence my reluctance to spend much time up at the lodge.

I have learned more about magickal practice on my own than I ever have from Freemasonry.

 Quoting: Divine Inspiration

As far as I know Freemasons are not ACTIVELY serving the light nor are they serving darkness. By default, they were created to serve the light, that is the light of knowledge. These days though most MASONS do not know how to use the apparatus that is the Masonic Lodge.

Imagine a great cataclysm that wiped out modern civilization (shouldn't be too hard to do on this forum :)

and a remnant of the human race survived on an island. On that Island there was a plane fueled up and ready to go that would take them to the mainland where they would have a better chance to prosper. The problem is that there are no pilots among this group so they simply let the plane sit. Generation begets generation and plane is just sitting there. They do however keep records of what the plane was once for and what it could have meant to their ancestors (freedom to leave the island, flying in the air, etc) the problem is that the people are so divorced from how the plane works that it becomes a kind of ritual fetish object.

This is a lot like how the modern day Masonic lodge system works. It reminds me of a "cargo cult". I know from my own reading on esoteric subjects that what it was MEANT for was to conduct magick and it still does in many ways, in particular the imitation rites, do change you energetically, for the better I might add. The problem is tha a large portion of how to use the lodge system for its true purpose has been lost.

As to whether they have been helping you in your life, I have no clue.

Because when curious people wander in off the street and ask to join their group, they give them an honorary 33rd degree and tell them all their secrets.

Certainly not in the lodge.

I have worked with the pentagram in my own magickal research. The pentagram of course is just a symbol that represents certain energies. It can be used in various ways depending on your intention. Much like the swastika is an ancient symbol that originally meant something good but after being emotionally charged by so many people during WW2 and after it has lost much of it's original meaning for many people.

Sacrificing animals is black magick and I do not engage in such practices. Only those who do not have access to the light need to gather power from the blood.

Paying money is a part of most any large enterprise. Bills have to be paid by some means. The amounts are not that outrageous. Something like $200 a year?

There is no hoarding of knowledge. Most of the knowledge is public information these days anyway. It is the use of that knowledge that is where the meat is.

Most anyone can join a lodge. The requirements are not that stringent. I was surprised when I got in as a 20 something year old fuck-up.

The secrecy component is not so much about keeping things hidden it is more about charging the knowledge contained within the structure of the secrecy.

Re: I am a 32nd degree MASON & a Knight Templar - Ask me a question
The masons have a high regard for geometric perfection. The UFO visiting us from Orion also have a high regard for visual math. Some of my friends live in the 4th dimension. Although I disagree with many of the lodges today I wanted to add that the visitors from space view masons with a sense of brotherhood. You may find that they respect your path far more than you yourself would have. When they see the lodge at it's best I believe the visitors feel closer to home. The galactic confederation of planets sorts out problems much the same way the lodge would. (feel free to laugh)

I've never concerned myself with humans very often. For me my faith comes from crop circles. I'll never be part of any master plan but I can feel inside my soul the visitors watching over humanity. You'll be happy to know that some of the ships are pyramid shaped. The lodge had long believed in a universal master that guides. The masons had one thing spot on; Geometry is the key.

Never molested.

I joined out of curiosity. I started out reading about it on forums like this and then decided that I would find out for myself what all the hubub was about.

Apart from the initiation ritual, there wasn't much there that I had not already known about. I do however remain open to learning more and perhaps the Masonic mythology will have more to teach me as time goes on, who knows.

I certainly have no desire to BELONG to anything and my self-confidence is doing just fine. Perhaps other people join things for this reason. In this case I joined out of pure desire to know first hand what Masonry was all about.

Sorry, I was not greeted by SATAN riding on a goat nor was my soul sold into eternal perdition.

Most of the misconceptions about Masonry come from a certain belief system that has it's own agenda. I advise that you question that agenda just as you should any other agenda devised by man.

I've had a casual interest in this sort of thing.

I've studied and practiced ceremonial magick for a long time (retired now), and at times felt the pull to join more like minded individuals.

I tried corresponding to various Golden Dawn, OTO, A.'.A.'. and never got a sense that they were right for me. A mix of way too creepy and cheesy.
Seriously - one order sent me information on colored paper. Pg1 on orange Pg2 on purple etc... no joke.

The Masons interested me too. But figured it was too far removed from the truth, and again... My ass wouldn't hang out with those old farts on a normal day...

Anyway. Cool thread.

Yeah, blame it all on Christians. Lol.

You prove my point. Freemasonry is full of immoral assholes who practice magic in hopes of gaining power, power for what, over others.

Greedy slime ball vermin.

Our God will take you down. Even some of your own members know this, and are waiting, in the shadows, some openly. Here's a member who saw you for what you are, and what your end would be... Johnny Cash.
