I dont know if you are aware of gnostic and mystic teachings

that basicaly explayin that to be like God, all that its required is to

achieve a level of consciousness that enables you to tell the diference


from what is right and is wrong, what is good and is bad

it does not say anything about going on a diet

and it also does not say that its required to be christian or buddhist

to have christ within or without, from what i gathered from gnosticism

all that was required was a brain and a phisical and spiritual experience

Btw, Buddhists worship exactly Mercury, the lord of the planets. Egyptians called it Odin, and Babylonians called it Nebo.

Funny thing is - Odin means 'number one' in Russian (and Mercury actually is number one planet), and Nebo means 'Sky', so go figure. :)
