And yes, as an artist, author and musician - I feel the need to live life to it's fullest.

BTW, for all of those dumb asses who tell you..."smoking will kill you!" Here is the truth:

4% of all non-smokers get lung cancer.

8% of all smokers will get lung cancer.

The anti-smoking crowd acts like, "OMG, you took a puff on a cigarette...you'll be dead in a few minutes!" Total BS!

Those who like to lie with statistics will tell you...smoking increases your chances of getting lung cancer by 100%....yeah...that is relatively, because 8 is 100% bigger than 4....now looking at it absolutely...1 in 25 not smoking get lung cancer, 1 in about 13 smokers get lung cancer.

I've never done that - but certainly don't judge.

But I think the statistics may be a little misinterpreted. Because any death from a smoker - any death - even if they are 96 and smoked at some point in their life is called due to smoking.

I actually think, if truth were told, the instances of non-smokers getting lung cancer is higher than smokers - why else did they come up with the second-hand smoke thing - which the researchers called them on the carpet about, but didn't stop the media from reporting. And now there is third hand smoke. "Don't buy a used car from a smoker - it'll kill you and your kids!!"

And I'm sure you are familiar with the cancer society - that if you survive the chemo for five years - and die the next day, they add that to the stats of survival - not encompassing what that chemo did to your body and how you suffered.

Yes, as weird as I am for smoking - I drink filtered water - I don't use fluoride toothpaste (make our own out of coconut oil and baking soda and my teeth are better than ever) and weirdly enough, with all this hair - don't use shampoo (have you read those ingredients??) and get compliments all the time on my very nice smelling, no splint-ended hair.

I have never smoked, that is my choice. And I celebrate you in your choice insofar as it doesn't affect me at all and it makes you happy.

I'm the only one in my entire family (both sides) who smokes besides my grandmother. She's well into her 80s and she's a battle axe. I wish I never started (in college) and I've quit twice for a few months at a time. Kept waking up a hundred times in the middle of the night. Stopped when I started smoking again. I guess I'll just stick with it. The cost is horrendous though.

Have a smoke for me....I'm having some wine and notice that I haven't coughed since Sunday.

I've done lots of tests with their hi-tech equipment down at the hospital. I gasp for breath most of the time. COPD is painful. If it gets real bad in the future I will be on oxygen and bed ridden. I just hope it dosn't ever get that bad. Were all suppposed to die on december 21st anyway eh? lol.

I have been smoking for 30 years. I have not touched one sense Thanksgiving. I had tried roll your own only to cause some serious problems. Labored breathing and a severe cough with spasms. I vow never to touch another one. I am still having withdraw symptoms.

I roll my own and buy my tobacco - I like European blends better than American.

I have a little hand held thing to roll them and it only takes a few minutes to roll a pack - and then I have some damned awesome cigarette cases!! (ok, I'm a girl, it's another accessory, lol).

Started buying pipe tobacco - cheaper - and it makes a smoky butt smell so nice - doesn't everyone love the scent of pipe tobacco - didn't Santa used to smoke a pipe (for those of us born before the 70s).

I don't smoke store-bought. Those little fire-safe rings in your cig are carpet glue.
