Ambassador Ford sneaks into Syria

Ambassador Robert Ford, the State Department's point man on Syrian policy, crossed into northern Syria on Wednesday. The secret visit was confirmed by Syrian activists at the media office at the Bab al-Salama crossing on the Turkish frontier.

Ford met with the head of the Aleppo military council, Abdul Jabbar Okaidi, who thanked him for the shipment of nonlethal aid. Seven trucks transported some 65,000 MREs, or meals ready to eat, the U.S. military's battlefield rations. Syrian activists posted a video of the aid delivery.

FWIW: I'm hearing that a strike on Iran by Israel is at least nine months away. Give or take a month or two. Imminent concern is focused on WMD and advanced weaponry, falling into unfriendly hands in Syria and Lebanon. SHTF first with Syria/Lebanon(Hezbollah).

A direct confrontation with Iran comes later. How bad will it get on the Northern border? That's up to Assad/Hezbollah (Iran by proxy). Russia is a wildcard here as well. Those who I trust implicitly are heavily leaning towards this scenario. Could this be dis/misinformation??? Only time will tell. This does seem pretty plausible though!!!

tend to agree, most analysts think that Hez and syria both need to be neutralized before dealing with Iran.

though nine months is too far a timeline...Iran will be nuclear capable in two months from what I remember.

well as far as the missile possilby, but as far as making the warhead, the nuclear ingredients....that hasn't been slowed down in fact it's only increased further.

Don't forget that there has been a great deal of "Covert" activity that has been taking place. Stuff that we will never find out about. Israel is waging a covert war against Iran's Nuclear program. That you can believe!!! It might not yet be a "hot" war but, it is a war!!!

According to interviews the British paper conducted with commanders in the FSA, in some parts entire units have defected to Jabhat al-Nusra, and in other cases commanders sometimes lost a quarter of their fighters.
