This is the first one in a long time I didnt have corned beef and cabbage. Can you believe the stores were sold out except for a huge one that was 15lbs! Went to restaurant depot and loaded up on meats and other necessities instead and spent all afternoon putting 40 lbs of chicken breast into my seal a meal things and 11 lbs of steak and 20 lbs of ribs, plus 5 lbs of cheese. At least everything else didnt need repackaging |

Dil is being admitted this afternoon and baby K will be born sometime tomorrow. I don't want to get embarrassing, but I don't know what the procedure is that my son is talking about. HE was embarrassed trying to tell me, too!LOL If I understand correctly, they have a different way to dilate the mom by inserting a device(?) in the cervix with the pitocin. Clueless here. If you know what it is, you don't have to explain. I'll find out later!LOL I don't know if we'll go to the hospital today. I doubt poor dil is going to want much company. She won't be in a regular room. They're putting her in a labor room, so we couldn't go see her today, anyway. The doc is going to check on her first thing in the morning if nothing starts up overnight. If baby K goes into distress, they're going to do a c-section. Looks like tomorrow is going to be a long day. |

It's probably hard to rest right now, but you might be glad later. You could be called in tonight or the wee hrs. of the morning. Quoting: Nine's Nope, can't sleep now! Doing dishes and then going to make cookies for the kids tomorrow! Gotta keep busy, my brain won't shut down. My allergies are terrible today, anyway. I'm better right now if I keep going. Too bad the phone doesn't work outside. Do you believe it? We might get snow next week! It's been in the 70's and even mid 80's! Not fair. The fibro flared up last week and I'm WAY behind my schedule. I could hardly move for a couple of days. After the front went through last night, POOF, no pain! Weird stuff, fibro-myalgia. |

Hope you don't get snow. Nasty stuff. You could have at least sent the 70's and 80's this way. It's nasty here. It's been gray and dreary for 2 full days now. It's drizzling now, after the ice thawed this morning. Was supposed to get in the mid 40's today but it sure didn't feel like it when I was out. Springs a comin' though. Seriously. 8) |

I was just coming on to get the baby update, so now I guess I have to wait a little longer too. I dont know about the device, but I do know about pitocin, nasty stuff, intensifies the contractions, hated that stuff. We had the smallest rainshower today, I said look its raining and in the time it took me to say that it had stopped. I think it was a 3 second shower. |

It's the worst, but when you need it, you need it. Sounds like the showers we had when I lived on Oahu! They were really cool to watch! Sun everywhere, even in the middle of the shower. Dil's parent's are going to stay in the waiting room overnight. We offered them a hotel room, but our town is 1/2 an hour away and they didn't want to be that far. They don't want to stay at one of the hotels a block away, either. I don't blame them, I wouldn't want to either. I'm waiting for hubs to get home from work. We'll probably go up for awhile. Turns out dil can have visitors until 9, since she's not in active labor yet. I really have a feeling the dr. will end up doing a c-section tomorrow. GGRrrrrrrr!!!!!! I hate waiting!LOL |

They use a paste/gel stuff and put it on the cervix to thin it out and help with dilation. Nothing too gross, just hard for him to find the words for it. I'm glad things are going well for them.
