willis888 User ID: 792736 United States 11/19/2012 11:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Egypt doesn't care about Gaza. Gaza is a pawn in a game. Nothing more. Nothing less. Egypt isn't going to join this war. If Egypt wanted to roll tanks into Israel, there are 2 major roads they could use as supply lines. The Gaza strip flanks one of them. Given that Israel's allies are invading all countries that could get in the way of Israel's attacking Iran, either through direct military intervention as in Iraq, Syria and Libya, corrupting the government as in Lebanon, Kuwait, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, or inciting social unrest as in Jordan (and Iran*). . . Egypt has plenty of reasons to hold onto every tactical edge it can grasp. The longer they, and the rest of the world, wait to end Israeli barbarism, the worse the conflict will be when it does happen. *It's interesting how Iran has a huge heroin problem while American's are sitting on the largest source of heroin in the world in Afghanistan (heroin is made from opium, which is just about the only thing being produced in Afghanistan these days). At the same time Afghan opium is getting processed into heroin and smuggled into Iran, American hospitals are going though a morphine shortage (morphine is also made from opium). |

It would be a shame to have spent four days on edge, preparing for combat, only to be sent home in a ceasefire that may not even last, they say; and if they are sent home, they add, they will be hesitant to report for service the next time they receive emergency call-up orders. Quoting: Dixie Normous [link to www.timesofisrael.com] Look, I am as PRO-Israel as any intellegent, fair-minded, awesome person But as to what those reserves "itching for a fight".... it only SOUNDS like a fun thing on Call of Duty or BlackOPS video game.... until some half-retarded Jihadi hiding in an unlit 8th story window of a civilian apartment complex, fires a russian Kornet ATGM from 5 miles away at your unsuspecting APC, then suddenly the IDF recruit goes fri "Rambo Chuck Norris" mode to "OH SHEEEEEET MOMMY HELP!!!!" mode. That Trophy system better work on Kornet and Metis-M, is all I am saying. Gaza Opertion is a BAD, BAD idea -- unless IDF command deems it that they have no choice (i.e. Hamas and Hezbollah having some of Assad's chemical WMD stocks) |

Quoting: Junie If the people of Gsza want peace, why dont they out Hamas? Why do they allow Hamas to hide behind them? Im only left to conclude that they support the terrorist group and support the constant barrage of rockets into Israel. Israel has the same right to defense as does Gaza. ^ Common Sense ^ Scrumpy!!
