This is the ultimate DOOM time, don't pass out yet! Hezzy just fired a rocket from Lebanon and the ceasefire is in about 35 minutes. If a rocket is launched in 40 minutes, it's DOOM on!

When I grew up my home town had 50.000 people living in and around town. About 120 of them were Muslims back in that time. Most of them from Turkey. There were lots of people from he Molukan Republic and lots of people from Suriname as well. We all got along pretty good. Nowadays more than 20 years later in the same town we have about 70.000 people living here and guess what, almost 3500 of them are Muslims and that should not be a problem normally, but most of these 3500 come with lots of side effects and problems attached to them. More criminality, their own ways of doing things and well that will get them into trouble with all the other people who are used to their ways of doing stuff and fixing things. These 3500 well let's say that 300 of them really try to do their best to integrate into the western society, but the other 3200 don't! They import new family that they marry to and well they do have sex like rabits because they all seem to be having more wives and all the wives really do have 4 ot 5 or more kids. But on the other hand, no work so they live of social wellfare ad I could go on for hours. But let me guess, you don't mind cause you make easy money as well? You on social wellfare or you just have a good job working for the government or some government related organisation? I mean maybe you are in fact an "ambtenaar" or semi-ambtenaar" like we call them in Dutch...

They fight a long war that has lasted many decades. One or two battles that Israel pulled back from because of international pressure aren't considered "defeats". Israel exacted a heavy price from its enemy in 2006.
This war will not end until one side is destroyed utterly.

They achieved some tactical victories such as killing some Hamas leaders but the strategic objective was to stop the rockets and one week later people are still in shelters and rockets launching so total mission fail/

One thing is for sure:

As for now, the operation and its outcome have made BiBi's popularity even worse than it was before. Almost every Israeli is against this dubious ceasefire. If he really quits now, everyone is going to remember and hold that against him all the way through the elections, which are soon to come. Assuming he knows that fact, there are 2 options:

1. He just made political suicide.
2. The ceasefire is only a halt for the next big step.
