Actually the rich owned slaves, all over the world, of many colors including white. So it wasn't just a southern thing. Ever hear of sold my soul to the company store?

Some of the slaves were paid, but the company owned the homes and the stores so even though the "employees" thought they were making money it was going back to the company that paid them.

In fact records do show southern freed slaves fought along side white soldiers in the confederate army, some as fill ins for their masters, others as free men, and were not segregated into separate all black units as the morally superior yankee army did. History lesson the south dominated a large part of most engagements of the civil war, with far less forces, far less equipment and logistics. The tenacity and spirt of their commanders and soldiers fighting against what was deemed to alot of men as an invasion of central government into their lives kept their fight going for 5 long years at which only the last 6 months really turned the tide against the south.

But what then again is the point arguing with a kiwi who has almost no heritage to even be proud of beyond ANZAC forces and their demoralizing loss on the cliffs of Gallipoli.

The principal mission of Oath Keepers has always been hearts and minds. However, the information war has just about run its course. Not by the choosing of Oath Keepers but by actions taken by State and Federal Governments.

Over the last 2 decades, the US Government has created, staffed and supplied Internal Security Forces who intend to confront those who won't take a knee. This realization is not lost on Oath Keepers and this is why the central mission is beginning to evolve into unification and defense. Still, the mission is defensive in nature as it is namely a form of civil disobedience combined with common protection.

But make no mistake about it; if gun owners are attacked, they will be forced to form defensive groups and will very quickly go offensive. Because at that point, there will be little to gain by waiting to become a victim.

As things stand right now, that's the direction in which we are heading in my opinion. I could be wrong but don't think so.

The Government is not so stupid that they don't realize what's going to result from their actions. They know its going to turn this country inside out. That, in itself, is proof positive they don't give a damn about innocent people being killed with guns. For, How can they claim banning assault weapons is worthy to wittle down the less than 1% who are murdered with them when compared to the untold numbers who will die in a Civil War / Revolution?

The Government knows exactly what its doing & Oath Keepers is the Natural Result of those actions. No one wants to see war in this country but its time for all Americans to take stock of the situation for what it is, not what they want it to be. We, as Americans, must chose sides now. Will we side with the Crown or will we side with our Heritage of God Given Natural Rights. Great men are not born but are rather Baptised into action by entering into the fear of Conscience at the time of Great Crisis. This, is the time in which we live and this is the life we have. The choice is ours. The battle lines are forming & the fog of war is lifting.

It seems very hard to find unbiased poll results on the topic of gun control, but you have to try and keep faith in democracy and the process that are there to protect the constitution. You the very people reading this thread need to start, not just sign petitions if you wish to protect your beliefs. There's enough people all ready in this thread to get the ball rolling.

Of course I have heard the arguments for pro-guns. I come on here, or haven't you deduced that.

However, how is one to take someone calling for liberty who then proceeds to post a flag associated with slavery, serious (as I often encounter in these threads). I have no idea what these gun supporters idea of liberty is but I would venture that wage slavery (bourgeoise society) is preferable to the slavery of landowners (feudalism...they used to call them peasants or serfs in olde England and is precisly why your commoner ancestors fled that country (if they are of Anglo-Saxon descent) for the US and tried to set up a constitutional and bourgeoisie republic based on merit...whoops...that calls for the use of ones cerebral matter.)

Secondly, how is one to take the same dope who calls for minimal regulation of business serious? For one, there is a serious disconnect between reality and that persons convoluted reality in their angry response, often xenopohbic, to the affects past deregulation has had on them. For example, these simpletons blame the loss of American jobs (to China, another fictional flip flop) following Reagan inspired deregulation, on liberals (paternal capitalists) and communists! Some people never learn.

Thirdly, in a society where everyone is blind (fully armed), it takes very little intelligence to deduce that leading will be at best, arguable.
