The low is down towards Carlsbad, I think. We're just getting little fingers of returns. Nothing yet. Our update basically said there is no update now. It's still the same. Our snow is supposed to really get going around 6 am. Yeah, we're getting ours right now and through tomorrow, supposed to start tapering off tomorrow evening... Looks like it's gonna come a good-un'... Quoting: Saddletramp I hope you have a snow shovel..or enough beer so you can stay in the house until it all melts! Well the cows are fed and in a pasture with good cover, and I put out extra hay for the horses, so feeding will go pretty quick tomorrow, I'll most likely hole up and watch some movies... If the power goes out, I'll crank up the wall heaters and break out the board games... When you live as far out in the sticks as I do, you don't fret this stuff much, nothing you can do about it anyway... I'll love all this snow come May when the grass is greening up and the baby calves are playing! I figured as much. I know you are prepared! I don't know what your skies look like right now but I just went outside and that is one creepy full moon. The temp has dropped, the winds are starting to blow and the moon has rings around it that look like a rainbow! Moon halo's are like sun dogs, sure signs of rain...or snow... I just went outside and snapped a picture of the moon with my cannon power shot camera. Quoting: CowgirlK :texas moon: nice pic!! it looks weird, also never seen the halo like that before. That's what I was thinking. I spend half my life looking at the sky. You know...a girl with her head in the clouds.. (lol) Anyway, I know that rings around the moon mean a change in weather..but this moon's rings are very strange. It sort of hurts your eye when you look at it. BTW...that picture is strictly point and shoot. No alterations or any kind. |

(I hope) I have a female dog who went into heat and a male that's going crazy. If he doesn't quit fussing soon, I'm libel to pour a couple of stiff drinks and band him. Then he will never have to work himself into a frenzy over a female ever again!!! Thank God that I'm not in an area that's about to be snowed in with these darn dogs or I would go insane. This storm is still expanding. We sure do need rain from a summer that had temps of 111 degrees and no rain. Hey, I'll welcome it! Getting dogs settled for bed, including a stray we have take in, someone dumped him and he is a sweet dog. Another casualty of ignorance, selfishness and poverty as is typical here. Thanks for the storm updates, Man! Everyone stay warm, dry and safe. |
