The wind is just now starting to pick up, but still not too bad yet. I wonder if the front has slowed down? That could change things up some.

Cowgirl, that update does not seem to include the DFW metro in the severe storm/tornado potential.

Have you gotten any further updates to indicate otherwise?

I'm sorry for the link. I still can't highlight. The mouse is pmsing or something.

NWS is calling for wintry precip in the panhandle and upper south plains this week. THAT'S new! Also, they confirm cyclonic activity this week in the Great Plains and across conus.

*edit to add* the link WILL update.

We know what happens when we mix cold front with warm temps

spells disaster
Its 75 today humid and windy in Fort Worth

If I was a betting woman I would bet that DFW is going to see some nasty weather Tuesday evening. I'm in the DFW area too, so I will keep you posted.

April 08, 2013; 5:50 PM
The storms have the potential to cross through some or all of these major metropolitan areas over the Plains and Mississippi Valley, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Omaha, San Antonio, Shreveport, Springfield, Mo., Springfield, Ill., St. Louis, Topeka, Tulsa and Wichita.

The storms will bring the full spectrum of severe weather ranging from large hail and damaging wind gusts to flash flooding and frequent lightning strikes. There is also the potential for the storms to produce strong tornadoes into Tuesday evening.
