My father served in the infantry in Patton's Third Army in France. He said the thing that bothered him the most after the war was the fact that he was sent to France to kill the best that Europe and the white race had to offer. He said when he saw the Wehrmacht in action and face to face as prisoners, he knew they were fighting a brother war at the behest of TPTB. He said everything we learn about WWII from the Establishment historians is utter bullshit. Even Patton ended up concluding that America was doing the dirty work of some evil international entity in destroying Germany's finest:

Yeah, Hi.

You made that all up.

uhh no jackass. go read patons diary and letters from after the war.. fucking idiots coming out the woodwork here
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75408574

Thanks. Most Americans have no idea what Patton really thought and if they did they would have to brand Patton an anti-semite. Patton was killed by the same people who killed JFK and for the same reasons. Patton, JFK, Rommel: all real patriots and all killed by the same Cabal.

"I do find it odd that you would consider Germany and Finland "brothers in arms". Finland had only pushed the Soviets back to the original borders and didn't support Germany on the Eastern Front like Romania and Hungary did. The Finns pretty much stayed in Finland. Also in the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact Germany had agreed that Finland was in the communist Soviet sphere of influence green lighting the Soviet invasion in the Winter War."

Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was essentially for both Germany and Soviet Union to win time. Germany had their sights on Soviet Union already, but were not militarily strong enough at the time when the pact was signed.
 Quoting: CFF 72818801

Well sure, Hitler never honored any of the deals he made and had written about Lebensraum to the East in Mein Kampf. But at the time of the Winter War the Soviet Union was Germany's main trading partner so Germany needed the shipments of oil and grain and other natural resources from the Soviets.

According to the book "In the eye of the storm" that is based on Mannerheims secret files, it was Hitlers ultimatum against Soviet Union in 1940 that stopped the Red Army from eventually invading Finland. Finland as you well know as you mentioned earlier, fighting alone, almost out of ammo and the troops were exhausted.

So what force deterred Stalin from occupying Finland? According to this book it was Hitlers ultimatum that saved Finland in the last minute.
 Quoting: CFF 72818801

So according to this theory Hitler gave an ultimatum to the Soviet Union about Finland just months after signing the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact which placed Finland in the Soviet Union's sphere of influence???? That sounds a bit far fetched. The Soviet Union had demanded territorial concessions and in the end Finland had to give up more territory that they originally asked for.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact didnt mean a thing anymore in 1941 when operation Barbarossa commenced.

The operation Barbarossa was a pre-emptive strike or move against the Soviet Union. If it werent for Germany, there would not have been anything to stop Soviet Union from invading and occupying most of mainland Europe.
 Quoting: CFF 72818801

Wait, you said above "Germany had their sights on Soviet Union already," which is true. Operation Barbarossa was not a preemptive strike but the culmination of a long term plan by Adolf Hitler. During the 1930s as Germany was rearming the western democracies hoped a strong Germany would be a buffer against communism. But Hitler was a fool who managed to start wars both east and west totally isolating Germany. He wanted revenge against France for WWI and living space to the east for the German people. Instead his foolishness caused the deaths of a huge number of Germans and the destruction of Germany along with much of Europe.

There were hundreds of planes used. What like 800 plus ships? So how come between all that fire power none of them could be arsed to take out the machine gun nests on the beach BEFORE the invasion forces tried landing?

It was unnecessary for all that sacrifice, they could have taken out the guns and stormed the beaches unopposed and marched and parachuted in and done the same thing without making guys drown in the process and get picked off when you've got such an overwhelming force to "back" you but didn't for some reason.

The D-Day landings were along a 50 mile stretch of the French coast. Tons of bombs were dropped, thousands of heavy shells fired against the coast by ships. But Germany had built the Atlantic Wall, a string of heavily fortified positions all along the coast. Many of these steel and concrete fortifications still exist.

The same thing happened in the Pacific where the Japanese survived bombing and naval attacks and had to be taken out by ground forces.

Here is the book Finland in the eye of the storm.

[link to www.promerit.net (secure)]

For over half a century we have knowingly been brainwashed into linking all the evil in the world to Hitler and the German people. The holocaust, which is continuously in the press, literature, the theatre, film, music, the radio and television has coloured our judgement as to the actual causes of the Second World War and those guilty.

It is clear that Hitler and the Nazi leaders of the Third Reich were guilty of terrible crimes against humanity. However, this book will not tackle these matters, as they are well known and documented. On the other hand, one cannot deny war crimes committed by the allies and especially Russia(Soviet Union) under the leadership of Stalin.

During the Winter War, having received details of a secret agreement between the Western Powers and the Soviet Union to destroy Germany, Mannerheim, along with Finland’s political leaders made crucial decisions that saved the nation and possibly all the Nordic countries from becoming one large battleground.

From 1932 onwards, Mannerheim kept original documents consisting of , for example, secret reports, letters, personal notes, into a file code named ”S-32”. Political reasons stopped Mannerheim from using this file as evidence after the war.

I have used secret documents, which victor nations have suppressed for 50 years, in Marshall C.G.E. Mannerheim’s file ”S-32” as the basis of my research. This material can finally shed some light on the historical truth that was not published along with Mannerheim’s memoirs.

Re: Normandy, 1944: when men were men; incredible footage taken from the German side
Churchill and Stalin’s war operation agreements of October 15, 1939 in Moscow.

“Stalins double cover”

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is seen as the most important agreement of WWII. For Hitler this pact was vital, and he was gullible enough to take the signatures of Molotov and Stalin at face value, forgetting what Lenin had said about the importance of “papers”. But according to the information in Document S-32, the most important agreement of WWII was signed in Moscow on October 15, 1939—between the Soviet Union, England and France.

Reflection

Mannerheim kept the content of that agreement secret in his S-32 document, copies of which have become known. Fifty-plus years later we find it prudent to make this agreement public, so as to gain an understanding of the truth of the most difficult time in the history of Finland.

Given the unique situation Finland was in following the war, the Marshall was not able to write about the political background of issues in his memoirs, and concentrated instead on military operations. We have depositions by the Marshall made to his agent VT on January 20, 1950 in which he stated:

“My military dos and don’ts are not the issue in this record (Doc. S-32), nor are my memories of them. I will leave this up to others. I cannot make these political background actions known to my generals, because that information would not be treated correctly and honestly by them”. The operational plans for this war were apparently signed by the minister of the Admiralty, Churchill, on February 8, 1940 in London. He handed them, in any case, to Stalin’s courier on February 9, to be forwarded by air mail to Moscow. German intelligence knew about this and intercepted the plane carrying the documents over the Baltic Sea. The plane was searched, the documents found, copied and the plane allowed, after a delay of 4 hours (Groesmann), to continue on as if nothing had happened.

On March 9, 1940, Mannerheim received, from Ribbentrop per courier, copies of portions of those plans, as they concerned Finland and Scandinavia, including maps and statements about the allied operations planned in Europe.

Declaration of intent of Churchill and Stalin February 8, 1940.

The Admiralty is hereby making a declaration of readiness regarding the reached agreements on October 15, 1939 for waging war, signed and delivered by Mr. Stalin on January 28, 1940, the agreement to read as follows:

1. As soon as the Soviet Union publicizes its occupation of Finland in its entirety, including its bays, coastline and islands, the maritime ministry is prepared to send marines and other forces no later than the night of May 14-15, 1940 to occupy important objects in Norway. In addition, England will occupy Denmark. In cooperation with French troops, England will occupy Swedish Göteborg as well as southern Sweden. At the same time British naval forces will control the North Sea and block access to it from the Baltic Sea for German ships and submarines.

2. Agreement was reached during negotiations between France and England concerning Finland’s ‘often asked for’ assistance in its fight against the Soviet Union, which our governments had promised.

This promised assistance, which Finland had asked for, will be redirected to Sweden and Norway where it will be placed on hold, even if those countries proved willing to allow the transit of troops. France promised 50,000 to 100,000 troops, to be stationed in Sweden to tie up the Swedish forces, to allow the Soviet Union to occupy Finland and intern its forces. English forces will be stationed in Norway, about 5,000 to 8,000 troops will land in Göteborg, Sweden.

3. Following the occupation of Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden, agreement can be reached between English and Soviet forces as to the distribution of troops and their targets, as well as the timing of the attack against Germany; that according to already established plans, so that:

Troops of the English and French expedition force will jointly initiate an attack along the Cherbourg-Rotterdam line with the Siegfried-Line as their target, while at the same time Poland and Czechoslovakia are attacked by Soviet forces.

The defense forces of Holland and Belgium have agreed to join British/French troops.

French and English naval forces will close the North Sea, as well as the English Channel, to any naval traffic of German ships until Germany’s forces are defeated and Germany is forced into a peace agreement.

4. For the main attack from the Baltics and the Scandinavian Peninsula, the plan for the supply of the troops will be worked out in a joint effort in Paris, at the time of your choosing, according to your suggestions.

5. The joint committee of the French-English air force agreed to immediately invite a representative of the Soviet air force for the purpose of cooperation in an effort to once and for all eliminate the German air force, even before an attack by sea and land begins [emphasis added].

6. The assurance of assistance of military support to Finland, mentioned in Art. 2, is based on the Crimea negotiations between the general secretary of the Soviet Communist Party and England’s Winston Churchill, to obtain a troop transit agreement from Sweden, Norway and Denmark to help Finland militarily. If those Nordic countries agree to this transit of troops, English and French troops can be moved onto the Scandinavian Peninsula without encountering any resistance. The occupation of the Scandinavian Peninsula, and the interment of its forces, could thus be achieved by making it appear as a bloodless coup. The Soviet Union would thus be relieved of concern about the English/French troops posing a danger to it. The occupation of the Scandinavian Peninsula will take place even if said transit agreement for the support troops is not granted. The Soviet Union will be invited to send a military expert to observe operations for occupying Scandinavia, as well as the preparations of those operations. It would be beneficial if this expert could arrive as soon as possible.

7. As to the request to set up mine fields along the coast of Norway by the Soviet Union, a map five (5) is attached showing the mine field as agreed to. English naval forces will expand this mine field and extend it starting April 5-6, according to attachment six (6). The unmined areas will be shown in attachment 6.

Attachments 5 and 6 were not found when this document was copied on January 19 and 21, 1950 (author’s note).

Significance and implications of this agreement

With this agreement Churchill and the Western Powers allowed the Soviet Union to bring all of the small adjoining countries under its control. This went far beyond what was agreed to under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact concerning “regions of interest”. At the same time Churchill granted himself the right to interfere with the sovereignty of many neutral countries (Island, Faeroe Islands, Norway, Sweden, Greece, etc.).

I suppose this is a conspiracy website and that is a conspiracy theory... a wacky one. But that is probably the least credible conspiracy theory I've seen about WWII.

Here is a tip: find a copy of the so called document S-32. I recommend looking under a unicorn's butt.

How about another tip? Churchill wasn't PM when he is supposed to have made this deal with Stalin. He was a somewhat unpopular First Lord of the Admiralty.

It was a betrayal from the beginning from the Western Powers side.

Britain and Soviet Union had their own secret agreement where nordic countries were to be sacrificed, in order to open a new front against Germany from the North.

There was never any French/British expeditionary force to come to Finlands aid against the Soviet Union. Never.
It was purely a cynical pretext to get hold of the strategically important iron ore in Sweden and secure the Atlantic flank in Norway.

And we know what happened.

Germany was quicker and secured the western/atlantic flank by occupying Norway and Denmark. And from Sweden it got the important iron ore for its warmachinery.

Just watched !
What struck me was one particular guy - he could have been a doppelganger of my uncle - but German !!

Brings home the idea that deep down were all the same - it's just a matter of geography as to what side your thrust into that determines whether your going to be seen in History as being on the side of good or evil !

You seem terribly confused. It was Germany that agreed to give Finland to the Soviet Union in the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. Hitler needed to assure that when he invaded Poland the Soviets wouldn't go to war against him and he gave them Finland.

Britain and Soviet Union had their own secret agreement where nordic countries were to be sacrificed, in order to open a new front against Germany from the North.

 Quoting: CFF 72818801

Yet there is zero evidence of such an agreement. That isn't surprising since the Soviet Union had just signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact where they were given the Baltic states and Finland by Germany.

Go ahead, find evidence of this so called secret agreement. You can't. The idea of such an agreement is illogical given the situation in Eastern Europe.

Illogical plus zero evidence = bullshit.

 Quoting: CFF 72818801

It is true that the Allies wanted to secure Norway and Sweden from supporting Germany. But both Norway and Sweden rejected requests for an Allies force to cross their territory to aid Finland. Norway and Sweden also refused to send troops to aid Finland. In the end Germany conquered and occupied Norway. Sweden allowed German troops to cross Sweden, something they wouldn't allow of Allied troops.

Germany was quicker and secured the western/atlantic flank by occupying Norway and Denmark. And from Sweden it got the important iron ore for its warmachinery.
 Quoting: CFF 72818801

It is true that Germany quickly conquered Norway and that they already had the cooperation from supposedly neutral Sweden. The Allies had hoped to have troops in Norway to protect their independence and cut off shipments of Swedish ore but the Norwegian government wouldn't allow it and a few months later they quickly fell to the invading Germans.

But you should really do a little research on this supposed document S-32 so you will see it was bullshit. Germany basically gave Finland to the Soviets to ensure they had freedom to continue their conquests in other parts of Europe.

I have a solid reference which is based on research.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was a strategic pact between the two big powers in Europe, Germany and Soviet Union. It was ofcourse very problematic for small neutral countries. But Hitlers remarks and actions in the late phase of the Winter War and afterwards reveals how uncomfortable he felt about Finlands situation.

Hitler conveyded the message to Finland to make peace with Soviet Union even if considerable sacrifices had to be made - any lost territory would be taken back later he guaranteed. In 1941 lost territories were swiftly taken back with Germanys support.

My grandfather was in France. Never saw combat as far as we know and went AWOL a few times. He was a rugged individualist and hated the Army. Of course he had been drafted.

He never really talked about it except for one thing. He said that starving French kids would come up to the camp and beg for food. The officers ordered the men to throw their leftovers out rather than give any food to the kids. I've sets similar stories from other vets too so I know he wasn't making it up.

Finland is mentioned exactly once in the entire Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. It doesn't "give" Finland to the USSR, it simply states that the Germans wouldn't intervene against any territorial change north of Lithuania.

Hitler:

I so greatly regret that - we could not help the Finnish people in their first freedom fight two years ago(Winter War 1939-1940) but it was not possible, we were bound to the west and a two front war was not attainable.

...I know what Finland had to do in this whole fight and how hard the sacrifices were which it brought on the Finnish people.

principles, and my unshakable resolution will in the end succeed in enabling me to play a
great and historical part towards the re-establishment of sound and permanent relations
between the two great Germanic nations.
“ Such an agreement between England and Germany would represent the weighty
influence for peace and common sense of 120,000,000 of the most valuable people in the

I see many people implying that Hitler was a hero for fighting communism. Well ok, in that case he should have just went to war with the Soviet Union. Instead he waged war on the whole West as well since he was a power-hungry retard.

Wait a minute, previously you said it was Hitler's ultimatum to the Soviet Union that stopped them. Now you are saying it was Hitler telling Finland to make peace??

Which is it?

You seem terribly confused. It was Germany that agreed to give Finland to the Soviet Union in the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. Hitler needed to assure that when he invaded Poland the Soviets wouldn't go to war against him and he gave them Finland.

Finland is mentioned exactly once in the entire Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. It doesn't "give" Finland to the USSR, it simply states that the Germans wouldn't intervene against any territorial change north of Lithuania.

You think there is a difference between Germany giving Finland to the Soviet Union and Germany saying they wouldn't intervene against any territorial changes north of Lithuania?

What do you think territorial change means? It means if the Soviet Union invaded nations north of Lithuania (which they did including Finland) they would have a free hand.

Even worse, Hitler made a deal with the communists so that he could invade democracy after democracy. Nazi Germany invaded Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands and France... none of which were communist. And to ensure Germany could do this the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact gave the communist Soviet Union a free hand to take Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and parts of Romania.

Hitler hated the communists.... but Germany didn't start WWII to fight communism.

Hitler used his power and pressured Soviet Union not to go too far. As soon as he knew Stalin was doublecrossing him with the secret agreement with Western Powers - remember the intercepted message - he knew they would clash with Soviet Union.

The League of Nations expelled the Soviet Union because of its unprovoked aggression against Finland. But it had no impact on Soviet Union.

There was no other power in the world that could have made Stalin back down suddenly. Although Finland fought bravely the defences were thinned out and at a point of breaking down in March 1940.

There is no controversy here.

It was Britain and France that declared war on Germany after Germany attacked Poland. Thousands of Germans were brutally murdered in Polish areas where ethic Germans lived. It was an intervention by Hitler.

War on Soviet Union was never declared by Britain and France despite Soviets invasion on the other half of Poland!

After Poland was occupied, Germany could concentrate its forces against the bordering France that had with Britain declared war against Germany.

There was no way Hitler could have made an assault against Soviet Union(communism) before the western campaign had been concluded or reached somewhat satisfactory status.

"An estimated 58,000 German civilians lost their lives in the massacres carried out prior to the 1939 invasion.

Poles had been merrily slaughtering anything or anybody German since at least as early as April 1939, with smaller incidents stretching back to the close of WW I -- you haven't been told that by the Mass Media, or the fact that these atrocities were one of the main causes for the German invasion of Poland.

Germany had protesting in writing to the League of Nations literally dozens of times with no results."
