A report from a someone in Tenerife who is in communication with a friend on La Palma apparently locals were woken during the night by shaking from a number of 3.0 ish shakes during the night. Locals are very worried from what I can gather...

Not sure about the doom porn part, but I am really enjoying watching the thing. It's now got three distinctly active regions, and they are all very active.

Two of them almost look like they are talking to each other.

This thing could be big, and I mean huge. I've noticed several regions on the African coast are fairly active, and they seem to be associated with whats happening on the island. It's incredibly interesting to watch from my perspective.

Will it kill anyone? I don't know.
Will it cause a tsunami? I don't know.

Could this thing be huge? Definitely.

I just did the calculations. 1 degree is 1.85 km. So .01 is 18 meters

This thing covers a rough area of:
17.9121 - 17.8811 = .0310 degree = 57.35 meters
28.6099 - 28.5661 = .0438 degree = 81.03 meters

57.35 x 81.03 = 4,647 sm of land.

Edit/Note: I am not saying it is actually that big people. There is nothing to suggest any geometric shape, much less a square. It is just a fast ball park estimate of the size of active land.

Oh gosh, how terrifying.

Hopefully they have family somewhere off the island they can go stay with till the threat passes or the event is over.

The animation shows damage in a full circle. i suppose that is interesting, but my (lay person) opinion would be that CERTAIN places would get hit and not others, a small arc not the entire circle.

I'm sure I'm stating the obvious.

Not to be mean- but locals are "worried"? If you choose to live on an active/dormant volcano island...then freak out when it begins to churn up new activity...

I remember a story about family and friends mourning the "tragic" death of a dummy who kept hangliding off the top of the Half Dome and then finally died doing so. They were so surprised and devastated. Why?

How about this other area where there is rumbling going on, about 1000km northeast, called ALBORÁN SUR? Is that also volcanic activity? Possibly connected?

Not good earthquakes now registered at 1 km fuck strong possibility now of an eruption, this is escalating rapidly...

It looks like there's a clear westward trend towards the ocean. If the eruption occurs there, then perhaps the doomsday mega tsunami scenario of a large section of island breaking off will not occur.

Why would you say that?

If a tsunami hours the u.s. be prepared for a blackout and a possible nuclear disaster too. Heading inland will not be enough to get away from this thing. And what are all these people who escaped going to do when winter hits? It's going to starry getting cold soon.
