You really believe they did not push Palin out there to get Hillary voters?

I agree with all the rest. But how can this writer be so sure of Hillary supporters? I mean suggesting that women "know intuitively" that she's a tart, a McCain mistress wannabe? Is this for real? Are Democrats supposed to go on the attack because of these so called apparent qualities of his VP? If Hillary voters are so damn solid, why bring up these bogus talking points? This is dangerous ground IMO.

What about her politics? Damn it!

Is there no one that agrees with my analysis?

And here's a question. Where is Hillary in all this? You'd think that a major McCain strategy to get her supporters would get her step in and say something...

Hillary is holding out until next week, then come in to get Obama disqualified as a candidate.

What does that do? Sets up Hillary as the only other Dem candidate to get votes at the national convention.

She'll bring on the California and Ohio and New York votes, plus others that missed the roll call and she'll take the Dem nomination.

Then we'll get a ruckus over who is the Dem veep candidate.

Ol' Rove is crouching and waiting to call off the presidential election this year so Bush/Cheney stay in power under the executive orders Bush made this spring that allow him to pay the part of Caesar of All.

"The whole lot", huh.... well, I guess if you consider someone saying "I don't agree with all of his political views" as slander and racist, then sure. Otherwise, I don't think there's a thing you could find on some of us that could be considered slander and racist.

Agreed. Her stance on issues, how strongly she may attempt to push personal views as part of Governmental law, how she fits into the plan of the McCain political machine.... I'm rather tired of hearing about her daughters sex life. We didn't hear so many questions regarding Biden, and we have a long records of proven lies and plagiarism to look at.

Most of what's being said of Palin is speculation. The truth will come out during the campaign if she is as big a liar as many are suggesting. It's common place to submit personal medical history documents during the campaign process for both Praz and VP candidates. How many children she's really had WILL come out. If Trig is hers or her daughters will also come out. If it comes out later it'll hurt the McCain Pres chances more. If everything that's being said now isn't true, then, that will also come out.

We're becoming a society that thinks it's OK to consider someone not even on trial guilty until proven innocent. Is this some kind of grooming for completely accepting a legal change to that kind of system? Guilty until proven beyond a reasonable doubt? 'Cause so far, many have not only put Sarah on trial and convicted but also her daughter. What is this? A witch burning?

First, I am not required to vote. Not yet, anyway.


Secondly, she is now a known liar, so nothing she says or poses, or proposes will have credence with me.

Thanks GeoGal. I agree but still if this is going to be an issue AGAIN, it is dangerous ground and will take away valuable time from more pressing issues.

Personally, and I mean without the politics, I dont consider her lying about her pregnancy and or her daughter's life an ethical question. In fact, if I was in her position -- protecting my family from scandal and weaving a web of lies to do so -- I would lie as well. So I can empathize with that behavior. And I am WAY left of Obama.

Furthermore, I consider it too abstract to connect her family drama to her and McCain's national legislative policy positions.

So why attack her and McCain that way? When it is much more desirable to be direct? If not, it will only look like Democrats are attacking her motherhood, or some such. Of course we arent, but I guarantee you the Repugs will sure make it look that way.

IMO Obama is taking the right political tac, Unfortunately I smell a rat. The MSM and the repugs and maybe even Hllary (I mean Ferraro is waivering to support McCain?!) are conspiring to force this issue onto the mainstream over Obama's control...

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I have pretty good instincts when it comes to political underhanded behind the scenes chicanery...

* The news that Palin once backed the Bridge to Nowhere went national.

* It emerged that Palin has links to the bizarro Alaska Independence Party, which harbors the goal of seceding from the union that McCain and Palin seek to lead.

* The news broke that as governor, Palin relied on an earmark system she now opposes. Taken along with the Bridge to Nowhere stuff, this threatens to undercut her reformist image, something that was key to her selection as McCain's Veep candidate.

* The news broke that Palin's 17-year-old daughter became pregnant out of wedlock at a time when the conservative base had finally started rallying behind McCain's candidacy.

* Barely moments after McCain advisers put out word that McCain had known of Bristol Palin's pregnancy, the Anchorage Daily News revealed that Palin's own spokesperson hadn't known about it only two days ago.

* A senior McCain adviser at the Republican convention was forced into the rather embarrassing position of arguing that McCain had known about the pregnancy "last week" -- without saying what day last week he knew about it.

* It came out that Republican lawyers are up in Alaska vetting Palin -- now, more than 72 hours after it was announced that she'd been picked.

* Palin lawyered up in relation to the trooper-gate probe in Alaska -- a move that ensures far more serious attention to the story from the major news orgs.

What else will come out today? After all, there are still six hours left until September 2nd...

This is the best post on this thread. I live in Alaska and have been following this story for months.

Something is VERY not right with a woman who is willing to take the chance of delivering a high-risk child at 36,000 feet ! Especially a public figure like a governor. (This is your captain speaking. Please don't be alarmed by the grunting sounds coming from first class, it is just Sarah Palin birthing her child . . .)

She showed no apparent consideration for anyone, especially the flight crew who probably prefer not having to possibly deliver a preemie, special needs child WHO LIKELY WILL NEED IMMEDIATE NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE . . .

Any leakage of amniotic fluid at that stage of pregnancy is a sign to GET CHECKED OUT immediately by a health professional. There is only one good reason I can think of why she didn't see ANYONE in Dallas. . . or in Anchorage . . . you figure it out for yourself . . . And didn't her doctor tell her (over the phone) that if you are leaking amniotic fluid you are NOT ALLOWED to fly because the sudden change in air pressure can cause the membranes to rupture . . .

The daughter does NOT look pregnant to me. A teenager would be carrying much higher in the abdomen. She looks like someone who delivered a baby and then let herself go (entirely understandable in this situation). Poor kid, wearing a frumpy black old ladies' frock at what is supposed to be a gala occasion, holding a baby who came with more baggage than anyone knows.

Alaska attracts families like the Palins and the Heaths (both have been here for quite a while, two generations at least). They like the extremes of climate, the intense physicality, the opportunity to be secretly eccentric and get away with it. I know, I married into a family just like those. Their motto :
