It is a battle between Aryans (Vedic Indians) (an "internecine war", as the 1911 Britannica puts it, as opposed to the more frequent accounts of Aryans fighting Dasyus). It took place as Puru tribes, allied with other tribes of the Punjab and guided by the royal sage Vishvamitra, oppose the Trtsu (Bharata) king Sudas in battle, but are defeated as was celebrated in a provocative hymn of Sudas' poet and priest Vasistha (RV 7.18). K. F. Geldner in his 1951 translation of the Rigveda considers the hymns as "obviously based on an historical event", even though all details save for what is preserved in the hymns have been lost. Anybody reading this thread knows that he sometimes hates me as well sometimes and the tone of the mail would be probably in the same as the mood you will find him in. Would depend on the day he wrote it. There is one thing I can say about some of the videos posted on this page, You never truly know yourself until you are in that moment...and in that moment you truly find out who and what you are made of and there can only be two results...You either run for fear of the flesh & blood that owns you or you run towards it without fear and that is when you find out what you are made of & who it is that you truly trust and know.
