It's not his job to tell you to go ahead and take an iodine dose or to run to the mountains. Quoting: ADENDI won't tell you what to do either, but I am handing out a little iodine with the daily vitamins to my family and buying a new high quality filter for the home central air system. If I find another good iodine source while I'm out shopping, I'll probably add that to the bottle of pills I have at home. I'm not running for the mountains. I'm not saying you shouldn't, just that you should calmly make a decision after doing the best research you can with the tools available. Yes of course it is. But this is the way it is: every evidence and information is flying around so rampantly now that it's making alot of people panic and when people panic, they want a leader. It is a natural reaction. But they want a leader with truth. Someone they can trust. Someone who will help them survive. Our wonderful presidents sure will never be one. after all, he referred to this as a "potential catastrophe". So I was being figurative there. Yes, we will decide when to take things. I might go out for more Vitamin C as now I wonder about my stock of it. And I might add more to my stash as well. Yes, I want to be calm and make the best decisions. |

Quoting: JessinPensacolaDid you see the explosion? Did you see the massive Shock Wave emanating right before the explosion?? Trust what you see. The explosion was absolutely MASSIVE .. and would have killed anyone inside or near the plant. What could possibly cause such an explosion besides a total destruction of the pressurized containment vessel? Have you seen any pictures of the damage afterwards? I HAVE NOT SEEN EVEN ONE. I believe the reason is authorities don't want anyone to see how extensive the damage is. Use your own faculties for determinig the truth. Expanding the evacuation zone to 20 kilometers should be a heads-up for everyone. What was the darkened area in the center of the blast that seemed to rise up and stay suspended? Any ideas? |

The chest xray uses an average of 3/100 of 1 Rad... with me so far?....o.k. let´s keep going... For example, exposing a person to approximately 100 rads of radiation (0.1 Gray) or the equivalent of 100 CT scans to the total body results in a slight decrease in the circulating white cells and platelets. This will happen in everyone exposed to this dose..... now look at the map and note the rad content on the left corner..... Thanks for the info, AC. . . Japan's nuclear agency rates accident at Fukushima plant at 'four' out of a possible seven on the international scale, from AFP INES Level 4: Accident with local consequences Impact on People and the Environment Minor release of radioactive material unlikely to result in implementation of planned countermeasures other than local food controls. At least one death from radiation. Impact on Radiological Barriers and Control Fuel melt or damage to fuel resulting in more than 0.1% release of core inventory. Release of significant quantities of radioactive material within an installation with a high probability of significant public exposure. Examples: * Sellafield (United Kingdom) 5 incidents 1955 to 1979[4] * SL-1 Experimental Power Station (United States) 1961, reactor reached prompt criticality, killing three operators. * Saint-Laurent Nuclear Power Plant (France) 1980, partial core meltdown. * Buenos Aires (Argentina) 1983, criticality accident during fuel rod rearrangement killed one operator and injured 2 others. * Jaslovské Bohunice (Czechoslovakia) 1977, contamination of reactor building. * Tokaimura nuclear accident (Japan) 1999, three inexperienced operators at a reprocessing facility caused a criticality accident; two of them died. * Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant (Japan) 2011, reactor shutdown after earthquake, failure of emergency cooling caused an explosion. |
