The smiley face killer-is he a technician with Trane?

I have been trying to get as much info about these drownings as possible so I thank you all for your very interesting theories. I believe that my cousin, Tommy Booth, might have been the latest victim. He disappeared Jan. 19 from Bootleggers bar in Woodlyn, PA. His body was found 3 weeks later in Ridley Creek that runs behind the bar. I was able to see that HVAC thread cached. The posters were totally rude and dismissive.

Something interesting I found in a cybersleuthing forum thread about Nick Garza, though. A new poster apparently created an account to interject two posts:

3/22: "Drunk college kid passes out after drinking too much at a party and dies in snow. Story at 11....... I mean really what is so baffling about this "case"??? No one wants to say its what happened, Middlebury college has a president advocating lowering the drinking age......... Middlebury College has too much money, and too much sway in vermont for it to be reported honestly and accurately."

then

4/18: "They just found Nicks body behind Middlebury Union High School on the College side, finally this can be over."

Nick's body has NOT been found, nor did I ever hear any rumor to that effect. Why did this person go to the trouble of creating an account just to make two misleading posts?

This person's user name is "Spider_Jerusalem", the main character in a very popular comic called Transmetropolitan, the symbol of which is a three-eyed yellow smiley face.

Weird? Or am I just going nuts?

I can find out the person's IP address if I can just register, but their software isn't giving me a password... grr...

ALSO, Middlebury College purchased a building this year, the sale was finalized January 11. Is it possible someone from Trane was called to the area around the time Nick disappeared (Feb 5) to work on their new acquisition's air systems?

It is my belief that a killer started out in the midwest and moved to the east coast .one of the investigators is going to albany this weekend .Did Trane of Albany have any contracts there?

Trane has a sales office in Albany. It is the office that serves Middlebury.... That sales office is advertising a "direct sales administrator" job - I wonder if someone recently quit?

Hmm... it looks like Emil Krieger (the primary agent for Middlebury) has recently left Trane Albany!?

His name was on the contacts list for Trane Albany when I was looking a week or so ago, now it's gone.

this is my theory.they get stuck with a needle-knocked out-it is not enough to be detected with tests ,but does the job until they get them in the back of their vehicle.they then keep them sedated with refrigerant-r22,while they sit in the front with the windows cracked open.since they are an air conditioner technician they travel to Wisconsin,White Bear Lake,Colubus ohio,Evansville indiana ,and Clarksville tennessee,for classes at the Trane factories ,where they get specialized training for Trane products.Since they work for a major contractor,they would also be working in some of the other cities as well.They then move to albany and are sent to middlebury ,where Trane of Albany has a contract.



Welcome to WS, Ethann! That is quite an intriguing theory, but what reason do they have for killing the male students? What motive would an AC man have to pick on athletic college males? I guess I don't get a connection.

R-22 can be used almost like a knockout gas
wouldn't be too hard for someone who knows a little about HVAC to use that. Has almost a nitrious oxide effect, people do get high on it. Cargo van....victims half hammered.... roll your window down a little, the other window doesn't work, open the valve and sleepy time drunken stupor land for a short while. I doubt there would be a whole lot of traces of it either.

Hmmmm...good point. No one would be looking for it certainly.

So when these people go for training, do they stay in hotels, rent apartments, or what? Do they use their own vehicles to go to training?

That would depend on who they are working for.some of them would be using a company vehicle,some would not.some might have their own transportation and get reimbursed for travel.they would probably be staying in a motel.

Thats pretty good connecting the dots. How did you even come up with the Trane thing?
I'm with you on some sort of gas or something that makes the victims pass out,but wouldn't show in an autopsy.

I live in clarksville tennessee.We have a Trane plant here and because there were so many vicitms in lacrosse i was able to make the connection.If a technician was doing it and he worked for a Trane contractor ,he would probably take classes in Lacrosse .

i also find it odd that 2 of the deaths were near the trane plant in St Paul-White Bear lake.I counted 11 victims in cities that do specialized training for employees of Trane contractors.there could be more.

15 deaths i have counted so far near a trane factory that does training for technicians.Some of them probably do management classes and seminars for trane companies also.
so the concentration of deaths around Trane is even higher then i first realized.

K, sorry, I can't figure out how to post again as the same user as last night. But I did want to tell you all more about my cousin. Some fits, some doesn't. He was 24, good-looking and in good shape, but not a jock and not a student. He'd actually never been to that bar before. He didn't drive and his "friends" said they last saw him talking to 3 Spanish girls at the bar. When they were leaving, they said they couldn't find Tommy and assumed he left with someone else -- maybe those girls. <br>
Well, that's the 1st thing that didn't make sense. Me, my hubby, another cousin, & his friend all went to this bar the Sat. night after he went missing and there wasn't one Latino person in that whole place. I've thought this whole time that it was a cover up ---- until this Smiley Face Gang stuff came up. I still think those "friends" are somehow tied into this. Tommy had gotten death threats the week before - something about those guys getting involved in something that Tommy knew too much about and didn't want any part of. I thought guns/drugs, but maybe it was this gang?<br>
So I met with the detective with my aunt and saw the crime scene pics. I called my sister and told her it just didn't look right. Tommy was frozen in the creek those 2 weeks so his body was well preserved. And like that other kid they actually ruled as a homicide, his arms were also bent across his chest. That kid was frozen too, remember? Tommy was also biting his bottom lip. He looked like he was cold to me. Arms against his chest, biting his lower lip...But how did he drown and apparently freeze like that?? 1st, I'd think his arms would be out, even if he was unconcious. And wouldn't your mouth relax or try to breathe or something? Tommy's shoes were tied, his belt buckled, his shirt still tucked in, his keys clipped to his belt loop like usual, wallet with like $200 in his pocket. But no cell phone. Checked with the phone company, but no help, the phone is dead (in the water?)<br>
Autopsy showed no signs of trauma -- not even scratches. Blood alchohol level was something like .22, but the M.E. also attributed some of that to his body started to decompose. Ruled accidental drowning. Oh by the way, Ridley Creek is all of about 2 feet deep.

I have been looking at all of the info and I believe that the bouncers from the bars had something to do with it. In california the bouncers are usually local cage fighting groups,
and i'm sure it's like that elsewhere. That would link them as a widespread group.

Its hard to stop a traned killer.
