You have taken on big responsibility, with the compensation being our thanks. You all are our unsung heroes. I keep you all in my prayers daily. I am female, as was the first kitten, Raye, I helped bring into this world and had the treasure of giving her love for 7 1/2 short years. My handle here is in her honor. |

We all need food, water, etc. Now if you help kill an ocean everyone including the people Who are killing the ocean will be poisoned, right? So to make a buck, keep power, etc You kill everyone including yourself! Now is it me or if someone is doing something like this Could they not be considered criminally INSANE? Similar to someone trying to blow up a building they are in? Or maybe it's just me. Milo824 |

By Kristin Toussaint @kristindakota Boston.com Staff | 09.18.15 Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station—officially one of the worst-ranked nuclear plants in the country—might soon close if officials can’t afford to make it safer, according to The Boston Globe . The federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission downgraded the Plymouth facility earlier this month, marking it as one of the three least-safe plants in the country. The multimillion-dollar repairs required to improve safety might be out of reach for Pilgrim officials, the Globe reports, meaning the 43-year-old plant may close........ How long will the waste be poision to our children's health? So we build a basically unstable power plant. This plant can not be safely kept in a stable state with no electrical power. See Fukushima! Milo824 User ID: 69170964 United States 09/19/2015 08:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My suggestion is simple. The problem seems to be that the people making the decision's are not physically connected to the answers. If a person makes battle plans but never faces danger that persons battle plans will cost a very many lives during the learning curve, leadership means leading. If the management and board of directors of Fukushima had to live right next to the plants I will guarantee that the outcome would have been far different. As long as you get beat for my mistakes I WILL take a very long time learning from those mistakes! Require those making the decisions and the profit to live with the process and the results! Somethings are just that easy to fix. Milo824 |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 36403110 Canada 09/19/2015 09:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It takes a lot to break welds on big pipe. I work with heavy pipe called sched 80. That will never ever just break. The only way a leak can happen is that it overheated and overtime just let go, it froze and split, corrosion, bad welding or someone is deliberately cutting it. The freezing and splitting is the first option to be eliminated. Someone cutting it is probably not true either. So it's corrosion or overheating. Probably the whole plant is full of rotten pipe. Pipes and valves and pumps need steady maintenance. They have a FINITE lifespan. It should be no surprise when old pipe leaks. |

LEGION, FOR THERE ARE MANY User ID: 69040336 United States 09/20/2015 06:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went out to Sterling State Park yesterday 9-19-15 which is very close to Fermi Nuclear Power plant. I found nothing on my spectrometer. I talked with the fishermen there and was within a mile of Fermi within full visual range of it, thy didn't seem concern. However as I looked across Lake Erie to Davis-Besse Nuclear power plant in Ohio it was billowing steam from it's tower yet when I looked at Fermi, there was nothing coming out of it. It looked like it was shut down. I visit that area almost weekly and very few times if any do I recall no steam release at Fermi. Perhaps there is nothing to it. What got my attention though as I sat smoking a cigar on a mile long pristine beach that was empty was from time to time men would walk on the beach with binoculars and focus in on Fermi and Davis-Besse instead of the birds and such. Probably nothing, but I thought I would pass this along. LEGION |
