The original poster has obviously never been to Texas. It has so many unique geographical areas it is like being in another country. I guess when people think of Texas, they have a desert mentallity. They forget we have mountains, and hills, lots of wildlife, lakes, ocean beeches, snow, torndos, hail, sleet, we get it all down in the the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS, right? Mountains are a bit of a stretch, hill country, definitely. Beautiful country, definitely. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1526270 More for us! Better education, better healthcare, better jobs! hahahahaha! I mean seriously, all the red states are notorious for their low IQ levels, low education, and poor people who are still waiting for that "trickle down" since 1982! hahahaha You'd starve to death in a week. That is, the ones who are left after 72 hours of unrestrained Democrat rampage. You'll die in puddles of piss, tears, and blood. LOL...a Democrat rampage...that's funny as hell. The only thing they would hurt is their own "hoods", the moment they step out of their shit hole and start trouble in a "cleaner" neighborhood, the monkeys would be done. |

The only way to force the issue is to hold a per state referendum so everyone can vote yes or no to leave the union. Now if this petition can force a referendum then it gets interesting. I've spent time in all areas of Texas, it has it's decent areas but I'd say about 90% of it sucks and thats a lot of suck for a state of it's size. |

Everyone i know in Texas has been saying this for a while now. who gives a shit, this isn't the process for secession and a good number of votes aren't even from people living in Texas, these petitions aren't created by people in Texas. These petitions are worthless in the first place. I mean if it were put to a true vote the rest of the country would tell Texas to get the fuck out and let them come crawling back a few months later with a little smidgen of respect. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27142624 Mexico 11/12/2012 07:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is always room for seccession in our dialogue. The world has changed, circumstances have changed and this union can surely change. Perhaps Texas or any of the other states for that matter want to remain nuetral or perhaps this show of disapproval for American interventionism, illegal drone wars, and outright attack on our civil liberties will send the message to the world that we too are sick of it and no longer support those policies. This doesn't have to be bloody it can be peaceful done. I am cheering for Texas on this one...GO TEXAS GO!!! IF any state can serve as an example for seccession they can they have one of the largest economies in the world and practically no debt!!! Sign it Quoting: BlackDahlia Good post. |

What it does mean to do is to put the Fed on notice that the people of these states demand a redress of grievances and that States Rights be honored cuz "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!"
