You can hear the mechanical movements of the cannons if you listen. The first round of sounds is always uniform. The sounds of them landing are not uniform because targets are at varying distances from ship. My husband sent me a map and is now explaining where everything is, how it got that way, and where we are at today. This is amazingly complicated. But at least I have an understanding of the geography, now, so I don't feel quite as stupid. Thanks for your subtle prodding, ISO :) My husband was curious why I wanted to know all of this all of a sudden. When I told him he just said, "It's about time!"
