Having watched comet Holmes over last night and this night, the brightness seems to have stabilized between 2 and 2.5 magnitude, not as bright as Alpha Perseus, the brightest star in the Perseid constellation, right near the comet, at 1.8 magnitude, but certainly brighter than Delta Perseus, at 3.0 magnitude.
But from my observations, comet Holmes has most certainly increased in apparent size. From looking at it through my 10 x 50 binoculars, it seems dramatically bigger in diameter than 24 hours ago. Could a tail be forming? Right now with the naked eye it looks like a star, but with this rate of growth observed in binoculars, it could be forming the classic comet shape soon, or something else?
From all that I have read, it appears that this will become an unprecedented phenomenon in the recorded history of comets. Yeah, comets brighten in outbursts and outgassing, but nothing like this.
The only thing close, ominously, would probably be this very same comet 17P/Holmes in 1892, which caused quite a sensation back then.
I know from the orbit simulations provided by government agencies and scientists, that comet Holmes is reportedly 150 million miles away, and headed away from the center of our solar system.
But from my observations through binoculars, it is eerily chilling, about how it very well may look, as the doomsday comet that will inevitably destroy most all life on Earth hurtles inwards. It bursts upon the scene out of the blue. And within 24 hours of the first sighting of it's outburst, it's getting dramatically bigger in the sky. Just like as if it was a doomsday comet with Earth's name on it headed to destroy all civilization as we know it! For cryin' in the sink! But that's not the case, comet Holmes is reportedly way out there. But this unprecedented phenomenon, is likely how it would look, to the billions of people whose fate was inexorably sealed, as the doomsday comet relentlessly hurtles in.

Maybe its not a comet at all .....maybe this "comet" that looks like a "star" is something completely different. Maybe its the Kingdom of God getting closer.
I always wondered how the Kingdom of God would look to astronomers as it come out of the sky.
All i know is........there will be an object seen in the sky that will not go away and it will get brighter and brighter. And it will change our world forever. That is the feeling/vision/message i have gotten my entire life. Since i was very very young i kept looking at the sky and expecting something to appear and i kept drawing pictures of stars over and over and over and over and over again. I was obsessed. Beyond obsessed. It ingrained itself deeply into my soul.
I felt for a large part of my life that i was so different for this (and i did not come from a religious family) ...no one talked about this ...at least not in my life they didnt. And along came the internet LOL .....perfect place for someone like me to voice what i have lived with my entire life.
It wasnt easy being me folks. ....it was not easy at all.
Once i had the vision ...i had to study it within and without and i started to understand why it was coming. It is really pretty easy to see why. Because the world needs this ...in the worst way imaginable ...there is too much hate and war and death here on Earth ...its a really bad world right now ...but it WILL get much much better as soon as the bright object from the sky makes global contact at the beginning at least in TALK ... acknowledgment ..awe inspiring ....stunning. After that .....well we shall see. I dont know whats beyond that really. I have theories but im not sure. All i know is everything up to the moment of the "star".
Oh and another thing ....as this "star" gets closer the land shall shake more and more and volcanos will pop off more and more and people will have a hard time with money ...lol ...money eewwww dirty dirty. Wait till you see why i said that lol ohhhh boy : ) |

Sorry, but that pic of the comet in the OP's first post looks SOOOO FAKE. It's just too perfect. I'm an expert photoshop user and I think it's obvious that's a hoax.
theres pics of it all over the place, op's pic. isnt a hoax, looks like all the other ones. i seen it tonight in the sky, it is real bright, and it sparkles alot, more than a star. i remember halebop, it was cool but nowhere near as bright as this one, and not as strange either. i don't think it's going to hit earth, but i do think it is a true omen of a great change that will come very soon. a good omen, only doom for the evil old world. Question to all the doomsayers: on what basis do you know Earth will be hit?
GLP is the only site where people think so and of course theres no mention of orbit change anywhere else since the comet itself got brighter, not because it changed direction. I've read multiple posts in this thread that clarifiy theres no problem, both through links and common sense but of course people have ignored them. Not debunked... just ignored... because it doesn't tie in with their ego that its all about Earth.
You people will make any news story into something on doomsday. |

When I was 7 or 8 I dreamt looking up and seeing a large chunk of rock up approaching in the sky. The rock had a level surface and below that level surface it had an irregular shape. And on that surface there was a building that looked like an ancient temple. And two visible (presumably very large) guards - or maybe statues depicting guards? - outside it. And I felt like there was someone of huge authority in that building - maybe God. I looked on then a lion came by my side but didn't attack. |

I never said it would hit Earth, all I said is that using the current visuals, and presuming that being a comet it most likely acts like one (dust tail + ion tail), it seems to be moving towards our vantage point.
Imagine seeing an arrow while looking perpendicularly on its trajectory and then an arrow that comes straight at you.
