Chapter one....
Festering gods writhing and churning
uncovered truth from the inner burning,
scorching flesh and twisted minds
demons and pustules all have been mine.

Re: The Hero's Journey
Slavery, only if you hold true the dogma that earthly incarnate existence - the flesh, the birds, the trees, the bugs - is somehow less than divine, less than miraculous, Tsirhc. But perhaps what our priests and gurus have been pummeling us with for ages, concerning this place and ourselves is nothing more than foul propaganda. And because we were foolish and self-defeating enough to listen.

This is a gestational realm.

By-the-way, I love the 'avatar' you have chosen!

former post is mine. latter is of freyja.

I quoted freyja as saying that to 'adore the heathen nature' is freedom.

I answered ' sounds like slavery'

she then rebutted with a askew remark ' how is freedom of spirit obscure slavery'

i made no implication of such.

an askew assertion by freyja.

Now, I answer again. The 'heathen nature' as she spoke of is the base desire of the flesh. This base desire is wholly unreal.

to be bound to such is slavery, for our true nature is not so.

here lies clarity.

Re: The Hero's Journey
blink

Well, I could see that if one is trapped by habit and addiction to the desires that society labels as base, then it could be slavery.

But, if you reject society's interpretation and as a consequence discover that you enjoy these expressions, then you're not addicted. Instead you'd be liberated.

Same event, but two perspectives, thus one sees freedom, the other slavery.
