I just double checked and it says the new moon starts today and you won't see the sliver of light on it until the 5th, maybe the 6th. In all honesty, I don't know if Rosh Hashanha has anything to do with the rapture. Or even if the pre-trib rapture is true. All I know is... Whatever is going to happen needs to happen soon. Being awake in a world that is overrun with people who are asleep, and show no signs of even wanting to be wakened is really hard. Even if I'm not "found worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass," and be raptured, at least it will be easier to wake people up once they witness something as amazing as the rapture.

Due to the fact that the majority of the world doesn't believe in Christ, it makes it difficult for me to believe so many people will be saying "hide us from the wrath of the Lamb". Unless... And I say this with a grain of salt because I've all but given up on a pre-trip rapture. But there's many people who believe that Rosh Hashanah is the appointed time for Christ to "catch up" His church. And there's calenders that believe it actually happens Oct. 7th - 8th and not Sep. 7th and 8th like many believe. If the rapture were to actually happen on Oct. 7th - 8th that will give people 10 days of awe that follows Rosh Hashanah to see that Jesus is the TRUTH. Then, on the day of the blood moon you speak of, people will actually see that it's the start of tribulation and beg to be hid from the wrath of the Lamb.
