It wasn't harsh. Beautiful opinion! I guess it depends on how you look at ego. For me, ego is the part of myself that acts out of my eyes alone for me. It is a singular consciousness, which works to function in, through and for itself. From ego I act out of anger when I am upset, manipulation when I want to get something, depression when something terribly hurts me, exaggerated pride for efforts, etc. Outside of ego/"releasing ego"/disassociated from it in itself, however you want to phrase it, I look at a problem when I am upset and can see clearly the best solution, I give respect to the desires of others and come to peaceful compromises, feel blessed for every event, recognize I attract everything to me and do an action not for how I will be perceived by others for it, but for the effect that actions has. And, the deeper I go from releasing this ego (though how I can I release something when I merge deeper into the recognition that I am everything) the stronger I Awaken in Oneness. It's not a death or a hate of self, for me. It is a complete Love of self in the recognition that I am equally I AM as you are. You may Love you. You need not be perfect in my eyes.
