My responce - how about a hybrid graphene with nano ceramics (smart material) or metamaterial. Ceramics holds some very intresting qualities.
I googled on ''hybrid ceramics powder graphene'' and found this patented in 2013:

"Can be made in any suitable density and toughness and the graphene-reinforced ceramic material may be incorporated into any structure suitable for use in, for example, aerospace vehicle applications, medical device applications, structural and building applications, electronics applications, and energy application.

Graphene-ceramic composites exhibit significantly enhanced toughness of starting ceramic materials, and thus broadening their use in materials and processes that require temperatures (>1000° C.)."


I'm personally interested in material resistence, so I'd like to know more about this:
