| Anonymous Coward User ID: 75760635 Australia02/09/2018 04:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been chatting with an old timer CT guru of late regarding pole shift, and his take is that it will inevitably occur, but that just because the poles flip, and let's be precise about that term - 'magnetic poles' as opposed to the physical location known as a pole.... or a Polish person for that matter, but it wont mean a physical flip of the planet. Rather, he believes that everything that relies on the magnetic systems within our world, which is everything, will be effected in some manner, especially navigation. But he also reckon that weather, including currents in the ocean will eventually stop, and need some kick start, which may indeed be a violent episode. A stalled system will mean one area gets really hot, and another gets really cold, eventually creating an equalisation, with air or water currents being drawn one way or another. That should kick start the system again. But there will be chaos, with everything that subtly relies on magnetism, including us, according to him, with the major issue being birth rates. I didnt think about that one to be honest, and so it will be for many species. So more of a soft disaster according to him. Interesting to use the words pole reversal correctly, and not refer to the physical land mass. I guess it's like referring to Israel as a State... when in actual fact it is the 'state of Israel'. A state of being. People corrupt words to their advantage. |

The Fiji MetService confirmed this in their 7am advisory, saying the air pressure has also dropped to 927hPa. Timing-wise it looks like Tuesday or Wednesday next week may be when it may makes landfall in western NZ. The storm will weaken slowly over cooler waters in the Tasman Sea (compared to the tropics where it started) but it may be still equal to a Category 2 cyclone when it makes landfall in New Zealand (technically they go from being 'tropical' cyclones to 'extra-tropical' in the New Zealand area due to being so far south of the equator.
