It's a chilly morning here. I really don't want to get out of bed but I have to adult today :(

Hello. My name is Aven, also known as the Green Witch. I've been on GLP for awhile now but I've rarely posted.

I'm starting a Witch/Pagan/Wiccan thread so those of us who practice the Craft can have a place to hang out and discuss topics relevant to us. I feel like this place needs a counterbalance to the Christian posts which now seem to dominate.

This isn't a pagan exclusive thread. We welcome all who wish to participate, With respect, I ask that there be no personal attacks, no trying to convert us to your faith, and no preaching about condemning us to eternal hellfire.

GLP has many neopagans, wiccans, witches and other non Christian folk who I feel have been sidelined. I'd like to have a place where we can talk, discuss and have fun without all the hate and bitterness.

To all the Christians. You are most welcome here but I would ask you to be tolerant of other's faiths and beliefs as you would have us be of yours.

I want this to be an open, friendly place with no bashing of faiths. That goes for bashing the Christian faith as well.

Now with that out of the way, witches, lets ride!

Okay, here is it.
We have been around for a really long time. Each time
we watch as another religious group as they come into popularity.
They stomp and scream that they are the only way to their
God and that if you continue to follow your own path, then
you will be sent to the 'Hell' that their religion has created
for their followers to believe in.

For many of us, we respect you for following your religion
so diligently. But in return, we ask but one thing, Respect.
To get respect.. you must first give Respect.

We will sit back and watch, keep our own counsel and discussing
in between us our many ways and different Paths. Never forcing
you to follow our Path, never forcing our Path on to you.

As you try to force your Path onto us, we will once more step
back into the shadows and light our candles. Keeping counsel
with our own personal Gods and Goddess. Knowing that in
time, this too shall pass.

I wish you well on your path, please follow a couple of your
own parable from your book of instruction.
"Judge not .. lest ye be Judged."
"Let he who is without sin, throw the first stone."

So far, I can see that you have broken a couple of the rules
that your mighty book has given you.

What aspects of yourself are we to respect? Now, don't run away from this like a woman.

Respect the fact that we are human beings just like you but with different beliefs maybe?

You are not all like me.

All of your talk and pretenses clearly state your desire for personal delusion and death within the realm of Satan. Satan is a loser, and has been losing for millennia. There is no respect in that.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Now that you have added your two cents, I see no need for you to continue.

What you personally see is not relevant to the fact that you are proud to he pursuing death at the hand of Satan. Remember, Sabrina, death by Satan is a one way path.

Horrific screaming in Hell for eternity. No hope. No chit chat. Nothing nice. Very mean beings hurting you. Very loud noise. No rest or sleep. Nothing to eat. Nobody caring about you. Is that what you want?
