Can't we just hang out for a while? Quoting: The Lone RangerEverybody is welcome into the glorious debunker thread. Heck if we let the likes of Luserboy; Melfy; and Mr FrEaKy in the door then you have nothing to worry about. Come join the A Team and stop wasting your time with losers like Ms LIEDer and her ilk. You mean the INglorious debunker lie repository thread. The best advice we can give on this matter is to read with your heart as well as your mind. Follow the flow, let the nuances lie unanswered and unchallenged in your mind. Treat this as a garden you are walking through for the first time, and experience it fully without trying to categorize it! Much of what you will learn will be processed in your subconscious, and influence your conscious mind later. If you must dissect each phrase, and correlate it with each piece of information taken from another source, you will trash much of what you could otherwise gain. Live in the gray, not always insisting on black and white and strict compartmentalizations. ZetaTalk: Oahspe Note: written Apr 15, 1997. [link to www.zetatalk.com] ZetaMax |

I had rehearsals at 3pm Quoting: DrPostmanand the dinner and play were close after that. I had a busy afternoon and night AND a very successful event! Great turn out in spite of us having performed this just a few weeks ago at the convention. Due to us being a fellowship dedicated to anonymity I can't show you images of my fellow actors but here is one of me in my "Ghost of Addiction Future" costume: :2009play: We performed it at one of those huge church complexes where one of our groups regularly meets. They even do their own catering and provided us with that service at a VERY reasonable price. We had about 150 show up and the stage (behind me) was really good with great acoustics. I hope we can use the place next year. Hell, we even had a sort of "craft services" during the rehearsal! If any of you have Facebook you can probably see a few more photos on my wall since somoene "tagged" me with the pics she took, but that's the best I can do. She had permission to take them. I'm listed by my name, Jamie Eckles, so I shouldn't be difficult to find. What are you doing there ? You play theatre as a hobby or something ? |

Quoting: DrPostman4 years ago our local NA fellowship put together a play very loosely based on A Christmas Carol and we've performed it every year just before the holidays for the last 4 years. It's a fundraiser for our annual NA in May BBQ contest and campout. Since our 7th Tradition states that we are fully self-supporting we have to come up with ways to convince or entertain our fellow members into providing funds. We cannot accept ANY outside contributions. I call it our "vow of poverty" but it's served our fellowship well in avoiding any outside influences. None of my fellow actors have much experience yet we managed to put on a pretty good production. No one blew their lines last night! We even made a change this year by having the Ghost of Addiction Past be Elvis. The audience loved that. It's only 45 minutes long and I wish I could show you guys but no one recorded the play and only one or two people took pictures. Our director videoed the last rehearsal but that's for next year's actors only. I doubt that I can get him to let me have a copy but I'll try. Whats a NA fellowship ? Excuse the stupid question, but as a european I am not that familiar with english shortcuts. |

Quoting: DrPostmanExcuse the stupid question, but as a european I am not that familiar with english shortcuts. A worldwide fellowship called Narcotics Anonymous: [link to na.org] Very nice, you are helping addicted people ... good thing ... so one could say you are truly STO. I think putting addicted people in jail is wrong, these people are kind of sick and need help, prison only makes it worse (and we all know you can get as much drugs in prison as out of prison ... and what other would you do in prison than taking drugs and flee reality ... so I honestly think the prohibition-like system failed, big time .... only the private owned prisons make huge money). |

KeepingItReal User ID: 823229 Canada 12/13/2009 12:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wouldn't the torch pass onto her next of kin? Quoting: Circuit BreakerWho would that be? Yes, you would think someone in her family might pick that up. But she's gone on record and stated that only her son Kurt supports what she's doing. So, that would be the only kin that could take over for her. And, right now, we believe that ZetaMax is that son. He certainly hasn't denied it. And, while he claims to only be a "fence sitter," he's made it quite clear that he is actually a full on supporter. Whether he'll do as good a job as Nancy (if you want to call it that), remains to be seen. He'll have some competition from Soledad and a few others who appear to be allies but are also bucking to be the head woo-woo. Still no comment on this from Max. He stopped by to post an inane comment, but won't address this. I wonder why that is. I remember when we called him Nancy he vigorously defended himself. Why is he not commenting on our suspicion that he is Kurt? To allow us to think that if it's not true doesn't make sense, because it discredits him and Nancy. The only thing that makes sense is that it's true and he hopes we just forget about it. He is pretty much busted, like Volar too. Maybe elle has an extra sleeping bag at sock puppet camp. I am guessing that since he is the only member of the family that supports her delusions, Max will inherit the house and ZetaTalk when Nancy is gone. KeepingItReal User ID: 823229 Canada 12/13/2009 02:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If Max is smart, he could maybe revive this ZetaTalk thing and milk it a bit after Nancy is gone. He can say that his mom was losing it toward the end, but he stood by her, because she meant well, and he loved her. He can distance himself from her explanations and offer up new post-2012 scenarios, he can say that the Zetas were right, but with her health failing, Nancy "misinterpreted" the information towards the end, and he will bravely step forward to set the record straight. Nancy will be elevated to the status of revered founding saint who gave up her sanity for the cause. Of course, for maximum appeal, it would be wise to say that Nancy didn't really die. She was taken up by the Zetas to continue her mission on the other side, free from the ailing human body. Yes, if Maxi plays this smart, he could extend ZetaTalk to fill the doom cult void when 2012 goes bust. Lots of woo woos will be looking for a home. Light travels faster than sound. For example, a resistor might be rated at 5K Ohms but have a tolerance of 10%...which means its true value could be 10% higher or lower than that stated. Battery voltage can also have an impact on watches. If the voltage is higher or lower than it should be, it can cause the watch to go faster or slower. And then there's temperature...as it gets colder, conductivity gets better and the accuracy can speed up. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

Quoting: RT 829389[link to www.nowpublic.com] I read the first comment from that link and the guy thinks that transmissions from cell phone towers and Wi-Fi are causing an increase in earthquakes. First, there's no increase. Second, radio waves in the HF spectrum and higher don't even penetrate the ground. If they do, it's only a few inches at best. Ground penetrating sonar uses VLF (Very Low Frequency) transmissions because they can penetrate deeper. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |
