!Prefiero morir de pie que vivir de rodillas! - Emiliano Zapata 1879-1919

Nothing goes as planned and nothing seems as it is. Most everyone's mad here; you may have noticed I'm not all there myself...and now I'm afraid we must get on to the more regrettable stage of our brief acquaintance.

I remember 1991..

It was a new kind of music coming on the scene back then. Grunge was all the rage, and that 80s rock was tossed aside temporarily for this new grungy-dingy genre.

Seattle was the Epicenter of Grunge and Nirvana and Pearl Jam and GnR were on top of the rock world.

I wasn't big into Grunge myself (wasn't a PJ fan then or now), as I was heavily into 2-stroke motorcycles and riding those modified screamers all over SoCal back then.

I had alot of serious fun ... but did have 3 crashes, one of which (a highside) caused 3 broken bones and 4 months of lost work.

the bike was not maintained by the previous owner, and I was rather ignorant then to what was wrong with it.

Sunday mornings were spent at 6-9 AM on a winding mountainous highway with other like-minded crazies doing the same.

My main RZ/YPVS350 blew out a base gasket back in 1996 (racing a Honda CBR1000 up a long hill), and i didn't fix it.

Got into skiing once again after that, as the crashes were far less severe and less painful than crashing (hard) on an asphalt road. Knew of too many locals that died on their bikes, from all the horror stories that i used to hear back then..
