Took a break from CD-buying and was listening to this from 1990 to 1992/1993...

Wound up buying 6 of these (apx 300 lb-modded) demons (above) ..

I had alot of serious fun ... but did have 3 crashes, one of which (a highside) caused 3 broken bones and 4 months of lost work.

the bike was not maintained by the previous owner, and I was rather ignorant then to what was wrong with it.

Sunday mornings were spent at 6-9 AM on a winding mountainous highway with other like-minded crazies doing the same.

I rode mine in the Rockies and those winding roads were fun!

It looked a lot like this one, but had orange and blue paint job

Yes, but will be leaving here soon back to my cabin, thru the dark snowy woods.

I never had a BMW moto, but did own a'78 KE250 Kawi (2-stroke dualsport) from '91-'93, when i sadly sold it to a San Clemente local that needed it for hanging flyers around town for his boss. Sold for $300 (it ran perfect)!

well, glad you're ok. there really is nothing like this except flying.

love the vroom, vroom :)

My main RZ/YPVS350 blew out a base gasket back in 1996 (racing a Honda CBR1000 up a long hill), and i didn't fix it.

Got into skiing once again after that, as the crashes were far less severe and less painful than crashing (hard) on an asphalt road. Knew of too many locals that died on their bikes, from all the horror stories that i used to hear back then..

Anyway, loved it all - close to flying alone as you can get!

Skiing was/is like flying to me. When you are on an 11,000' mountain and dropping into untracked light powder (during a white-out/White Room-scenario) in a double-black diamond run/chute.....

The feeling is one of ...

pure exctasy..

Just. Like. Flying.

It was -11f this morning when I left for work, but warmed up to -6 by 10am...and all the way to 20 by 3pm and it's staying around there now. It's a little nippy.

Nothing goes as planned and nothing seems as it is. Most everyone's mad here; you may have noticed I'm not all there myself...and now I'm afraid we must get on to the more regrettable stage of our brief acquaintance.
