My best friend growing up, her dad was a volunteer firefighter and paramedic. I got real use to hearing his radio, for years and years.

It is kinda nostalgic in a way. Silence is better.

You're getting a lot of great responses on your thread. I resonate with much of what Portugal has posted.

I like how they break it down and make it easy to understand. Good poster there.

Yeah there's some great discussion going on. I'm about to get off work so I'll probably leave off replying until tomorrow but it's nice to know there are still some good metaphysical thinkers out there. I agree with almost all of what Portugal has said so far.

The Nature talks to me. I'm doing what I can to aid it.

I planted special trees all over the globe for time being. These are for life support in general but primary purpose is mental health wellness. A long-term support.

IRL I haven't really traveled anywhere far across the world in my lifetime, but on my mind I "see" the world in some way.

I haven't seen it yet. I seen the chipmunks on maybe TV show series?

Chipmunks in IRL move pretty fast for their size, I wonder if we scale it to cheetah size and see how it fare against cheetah in a race.

I imagine cheetah would win in a long term race and short term for chipmunks.

Re: Mad World
I have this scene as imagined or dreamed, a while ago:

There was a hallway with corridors, each leading to an universe. A shadowy figure walked by in the hallway, each universe diminished to nothing. Then at end of the hallway, there were 3 or 4 little people.

Elementalists, as I called them.

Soon as they stepped near into the hallway, the shadowy figure retreated. As he/she/it retreated, each universe appeared as it was before.

Sometimes I wonder if the shadowy figure was someone similar to Thanos / Satan / The Man in Black / Etc.

As for the elementalists, they look a tad close to Alvin and the Chipmunks somewhat (especially the coloured uniforms), but overall almost similar to a different cartoon TV show or illustrated book for children. I can't seem to recall which at this moment. All I know is they are part of The Nature hence the 'elementalist' name.

Its retreating, the spark of recall.

If I had the choice between bread and love, I would choose bread..

Bread=hard rice, sometimes with bugs in it. Noodles looked hot at least.

Colony Collapse Disorder

Colony collapse disorder (CCD) is an abnormal phenomenon that occurs when the majority of worker bees in a colony disappear, leaving behind a queen, plenty of food, and a few nurse bees to care for the remaining immature bees.

While such disappearances have occurred sporadically throughout the history of apiculture, and have been known by various names (including disappearing disease, spring dwindle, May disease, autumn collapse, and fall dwindle disease

Oddly enough, all this scientific research is just verifying what our ancestors already knew, says the Scotsman. This traditional drink of Ireland and Britain was originally given the name Uisge Beatha, which translates to Water of Life, and a 16th century treatise by a historian named Raphael Holinshed shows just how valued whiskey was as a cure-all. He writes:

"Being moderately taken, it slows the age, cuts phlegm, helps digestion, cures the dropsy, it heals the strangulation, keeps and preserves the head from whirling, the tongue from lisping, the stomach from womblying, the guts from rumbling, the hands from shivering, the bones from aching… and it truly is a sovereign liquor if it be orderly taken."

[link to youtu.be (secure)]

Uisce beatha

The phrase uisce beatha, literally "water of life", was the name given by Irish monks of the early Middle Ages to distilled alcohol. It is simply a translation of the Latin aqua vitae
