The boy pharaoh is tasked with making sure the sun rises every morning. But is starting to have doubts about their belief system.. WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU HADN'T SAVED HIM? "Yes! The sun would have risen just the same, yes?" NO "Oh, come on. You can't expect me to believe that. It's an astronomical fact." THE SUN WOULD NOT HAVE RISEN. ... "Really? Then what would have happened, pray?" He masterminded the march into the Rhineland in 1936, the annexation of Austria two years later, the subsequent annexation and dismemberment of Czechoslovakia, and the invasion of Poland in 1939. Hitler’s seemingly unerring political, military, and diplomatic judgment fed a messianic conviction of his invincibility. When mixed with dictatorial power and a growing propensity to react to strategic differences with towering rages, the result proved a fatal brew—one that had the ironic effect over time of turning Hitler into one of the Allies’ most effective weapons. At almost every point where an important decision was required, the Nazi leader could be counted on to make the one that inadvertently benefited the Allied cause, and helped to doom his own. … On December 8, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt went before Congress and asked for a declaration of war against Japan. Germany was never mentioned. There was little popular support to expand the war; unless Hitler made some gesture of monumental stupidity, the United States at the time had no official reason to declare war on Germany. British and American strategists were frustrated. They had always presumed that once the United States entered the war, defeating Germany would take priority over Japan. But now it appeared America would take on Japan first while Great Britain fought alone against Germany. Fortunately for them, four days after Pearl Harbor, Hitler committed one of the most monumental blunders in history. While President Roosevelt needed 517 words to declare war and doom Japan, when Hitler went before the Reichstag he required just 334 to seal the fate of the Third Reich. Although predicted by Einstein’s theory of general relativity, black holes were only definitively proven to exist in the 1960s. We got our first image in 2019. These dense spheres control star systems and entire galaxies and will destroy anything in their paths – even breaking time itself. But what happens when a black hole erupts? This is Unveiled, and today we’re taking an in-depth look at the incredible new theory that black holes are like volcanoes in space. You may be wondering how a black hole can erupt at all. Due to their incredible mass, black holes pull in everything around them. By their very nature, nothing can escape them, not even light. It is true that black holes do “leak” a certain type of radiation, called Hawking radiation, but this is a complex phenomenon that exists on a quantum level. It is sometimes known as a quasi-stellar object, abbreviated QSO. The emission from an AGN is powered by a supermassive black hole with a mass ranging from millions to tens of billions of solar masses, surrounded by a gaseous accretion disc. Gas in the disc falling towards the black hole heats up and releases energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. The radiant energy of quasars is enormous; the most powerful quasars have luminosities thousands of times greater than that of a galaxy such as the Milky Way.[2][3] Quasars are usually categorized as a subclass of the more general category of AGN. A blackbody, by definition is an ideal system that absorbs all radiation incident on it. If a good approximation of a black body is a small hole leading to the inside of a hollow object, then am I right in saying that the pupils of an eye are a good approximation of a black body because they are also holes to a (near) spherical cavity? If yes, do they also emit blackbody radiation in accordance with the Planck wavelength distribution function, and is this why they appear black? Human eye obviously absorbs the radiation only in a certain range - e.g., it is totally transparent for gamma rays, which are also a part of the Planck spectrum (since the latter includes all frequencies up to infinity). Human eye reflects some of the radiation (due to the different refractive index of the lens, immediately behind the pupil (see this figure).
