Re: Mad World
I've been thinking about Flat earthers..and how it almost seems like they are under a spell. Like listening to and watching the YouTube videos, puts normally rational people in a state to accept the most outlandish of possible theories. A complete dismissal and breaking away from everyone else that believe otherwise. It isolates them in their beliefs, such that they seek out others, that share it.

We the 'round Earthers'..sneer and shake our heads in disbelief that anyone could be so gullible..but there they are. And they are adamant about it.

That started me thinking about human encountering a language virus, like memes, and then passing it to others. Like infected computers pass it to others.

Are 'Flat Earthers' infected with a language virus? Still fleshing this out..

I recommend watching the Tudors to see just how much power the Church enacted over people at that time, and the lengths people would go to escape it.

And how they died trying..

Both my great grandma and Grammy who died this year at 100, were widowed very young, running with their one child they'd ever have, cross country.

I wonder.

Maybe. I was told it was suicide after he couldn't cope after WW1..and the other died of TB, both in early 20s.

Both ran across the country to the West Coast, I was told, because their husband's families would have taken custody of their child.

So they ran.

To Oregon and California.

A lot of people came here. It was difficult and uncomfortable to get here.

Which really sets a tone for what one is willing to endure.

Re: Mad World
The last dream I recall a little less than a week ago..

I saw what looked like the head and shoulders of something like Max Headroom without glasses..glowing blue person sticking out of a portal talking to us, while I stood there holding a baby for some reason.

There was a lot of wind and noise and everyone in the room was alarmed by the blue glowing bald guy coming out of a portal, where the TV stand was.

When I woke up I decided to blame this video and forget about it.

I haven't yet..

No. It is direct resistance against sugarcoating history with nostalgia.

Animals had rights before women and children did in this country. I think it is refreshing to see that ladies took means into their own hands and lived to tell the tale.

Pretty sure it doesnt work like that anymore.

We only ever hit ourselves. Usually for the inability to control our inner demons.

Ironic, no?

Entertain them and they will come, regardless your intentions.

You seemingly are tapping a deep anger. Best case scenario..you realize you can only change yourself or your circumstances.

I had to look up Sandra Fluke.

Wow.

Never Forget What Rush Limbaugh Said About Sandra Fluke

Rush Limbaugh has died, and no list of his awful legacy of racism, sexism, and attacks on the poor would be complete without noting he made war on a DC student in 2012. Sandra Fluke was a third-year student at Georgetown Law when Democrats invited her to testify at an unofficial congressional hearing after Republicans, then in the majority, convened an all-male panel to discuss women’s health.

Fluke made a case that religious institutions like Georgetown should provide contraception to students.

Limbaugh, an accomplished bully with a huge national audience, recognized Fluke as an ideal target. Getting her first name wrong (he called her “Susan”), Limbaugh said Fluke’s position “essentially says that she must be paid to have sex.” Not content with that calumny, he continued:

It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.

For the next few days, he and his audience reveled in his delightful bons mots, and

Limbaugh continued to assail Fluke women at Georgetown, at one point saying “I will buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want.” He suggested that one way women could repay him for allowing them to use birth control would be to post videos of them having sex “online so we can all watch.”

Previous to romantic history, women were prized for their abilities and strength.

Today, they are seemingly prized for infirmity and obsequiousness.
