No. Keeping it public keeps it..public. To be isolated by a group in a special room, is very different.

No need for screenshots or the drama if you take no part in it.

Never seen a single good thing manifest from chat rooms. Just negative energy that spills out on to the forum here like yesterday’s vomit. Often useful idiots are radicalized being those doing the radicalizing have the cover of the isolation within the room.

Re: Mad World
thing is, I wouldn't necessarily call GLP public. I have dabbled in the general public's haunts, the places where most people hang out, and they couldn't be more different in terms of opinions and ideas than a place like GLP. if you're on GLP long enough, you start to think that many people are like GLPers in belief and opinion. but that's just not true at all. and when you're here for a very long time, you develop a distorted perception of general consensus opinion, I have myself in the past. part of the reason I go down weird research holes more specific to popular opinions

are you blaming me for the other dramas? it's all stuff that has existed on GLP between those people prior to the disc stuff, history that I have heard of but not taken part of. I'm not taking credit for that one. I don't consider myself an agitator or aggrevator of that, and it didn't take place on my server either.

Doing anything fun for the 4th? Thinking about doing the beach house 4th of July party. Little on the fence being it would be my first big celebration without drinking, while being surrounded by it.

Still deciding.

Remember that time I really, really wanted to talk to you and I suggested we go into the old chat no one had been in months, and second after we logged in, aether showed up..then laughed at my shock when he said,

You can’t hide from me, Seer.

Remember? Because I do.

Another time he popped in to a room I had with just K and Rick. I logged out immediately.

I did not take it well. I will never take that old man trying force himself back into my life well..and he uses chat rooms and those who frequent them, to do it.

So yes, I’m irritated I’ve had to deal with more chat room nonsense I purposely avoid.

I like you and K and Rick. I would like to talk with you all but not in chat because it always goes to sh*t. Always.

I've got a dis server. Just used it as a storage area so to speak. There's another app that's decent to.

Point being, happy for it to be a little safe chat area. And you know, it'll be my place so...no conflicts in certain regards.

Get the irritation with drama, why I left some, limit others, and remember to try and keep it academic in others

That is pretty insidious knowing how that could be abused.

I don't mean to downplay the insidious nature of such a system, merely point out how so many of these systems are ingrained within society already.

Sometimes for good reason...oft times not.

Imagine the shifting tides over the last couple election cycles...and the potential for abuse.

How much backtracking after reaching for a popular upvote?

We helped her grandma decide on a butterfly bush. I planted some strawberries with it yesterday.

I’m so glad you mentioned. I was gonna ask if anyone here grew peonies because I think I’m doing it wrong. I got one bloom last year, and two this year.

Not sure what is normal. I did recently transplant it into the ground from a pot I put it in last year.
