She/he has to be trained and luckily they have a replacement for you to train before your leave. If you need help with the regular work this week I would let someone know. There's only so much time in a day! ETA: Also, I'm sorry about the flat tire! Of course these things happen at the worst times. How are you posting quakes? You must have a laptop w/you because I can't see how you do it by phone with that unusable mobile site. EDIT 2: I just realized you must still be at work, not sitting in your car somewhere. That would explain how you posted the quakes. Quoting: KickinIt Yes, luckily we had the lawn care guys there today. They were just about to leave as I was leaving work and one of them came over to me to point out my tire. I wouldn't have seen it because it was my front passenger tire and the way I come out of the building my car is on the drivers side to me. So I went back inside while waiting for AAA and updated the thread. :) I'm home now and this drink couldn't taste better. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: Groovy Pillar Here's the current solar disc. 3092 looks pretty healthy in my opinion. 3096 looks like it will become complex and will be facing us in probably a couple of days. https://imgur.com/Q9QfDQC [ link to www.spaceweather.com (secure)] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: Groovy Pillar Any solar activity isn't going to affect the sun's brightness from earth. Sunglasses are key, I can't live without em even if it's cloudy. If your eyes hurt, maybe it's a migraine? Quoting: KickinIt Yes, good sunglasses are definitely key! And correct, solar activity won't affect the brightness we're dealing with. Other factors might, like our weakening shield? I really don't know. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I just checked to see what USGS shows for the depth, and they don't even have this quake listed! Quoting: KickinIt That's strange that USGS doesn't even show this one. Depth is definitely notable! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated A SUNSPOT WITH A TAIL: Sunspot AR3092 has a tail--a really long one. "It extends for about 390,000 km above the surface of the sun," says Eduardo Schaberger Poupeau who photographed the structure from Rafaela, Argentina: https://imgur.com/945LNXB "To understand this size more visually, the dark core of sunspot AR3092, seen in the upper left, is about the size of planet Earth," notes Poupeau. The sunspot's tail is a filament of magnetism emerging from the sunspot's core and curling away into the sun's atmosphere. Contained inside the filament is a long tube of relatively cool, dark pasma. Only one end of the filament is moored, so it could become unstable and begin to move around. A flick of this tail could send a CME toward Earth. Stay tuned.
