Onion garlic meat loaf.

Been a while since I made a loaf. But today's cool and wet weather was a good night for the oven to be on.

One chopped Walla Walla Sweet Onion, 8 garlic cloves, 1 cup bread crumbs, teaspoon crushed red peppers, teaspoon steak seasoning, pepper, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/3 cup ketchup, 2 eggs and ground beef.

My meatloaf:

3 lbs ground chuck

1 large sweet onion, chopped
1/2 tbsp sage
1 cup ketchup
1 cup uncooked rolled oats

mix together, form loaf and drizzle with ketchup...no gravy needed

Jazzy,
I've tried all kinds of stuff mix in over the years. The best combo is sweet onions and jalapenos. Worst ever was when I diced up a cups worth of Cremini mushrooms. It came out weird and so moist it was kinda slimy. Oh corn is tasty mixed in too. I figure you can mix anything really, even diced hot dogs.

That's the nice thing about meatloaf Deano. A variety of tastes in one package.

And it's great as a cold sandwich the next day!

That's basically why I make meat loaf. The night you cook it, mashed taters and gravy with a veggie. They the next couple days, sandwiches with tomato and BBQ sauce.

hazmat techs only have 4 gas monitors that measure Oxygen, CO, flammability levels (LEL), and hydrogen sulfide

Some departments have interchangeable sensors that may detect other items of concern but they're only useful if the agent of concern is known but this is incredibly rare especially in rural zones such as this

for him to say they're checking levels .... its a total bs line because they probably can't check whatever it is

I made my 'semi' stir fry for dinner tonight.

I get packages of Fajita beef at wallyworld (already seasoned). Yeah, I know..but it's cheap and easy.

I throw that in a skillet, brown it up just a bit and then mix in a package of Au jus gravy mix. Let it simmer til the liquid is about half boiled down.

I stir fry some thinly sliced green and red bell peppers with pearl onions.

Ladle the beef/gravy over rice and top with the veggies.

YUM.
