Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354
One thing which might have already been discussed here, but really not liking the trend that the "aftershocks" have shifted towards mainland Oaxaca, Mexico.

There was a 6.1 in Oaxaca yesterday, and the 8.1 was Offshore Chiapas(about 200miles away) back in 09/08.

I'm perfectly aware of the 8.1 and that it could have aftershocks for a very long time. However the location of the 6.1 yesterday and the ~20 4+ quakes after that seems a bit excessive.

Any opinions on this particular shift?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73875448

I think they were calling the 6.1 an aftershock of the 7.1. I believe I read that among the links.

The lack of aftershocks to the 7.1 still concerns me. Even if the 6.1 really was an aftershock (finally) it's strange to me that we didn't see that size aftershock the same day as the 7.1, not this long after.

Nothing seems to make sense anymore. Earthquakes, weather - especially the whole water disappearing from coasts, political crap, etc.

I didn't watch all of this, but there is a snippet that starts around 11:00 where he begins to talk about Cali and other parts of the U.S. In doing so, he touches on the Mexico quakes and the Oaxaca activity Finland mentioned earlier. Be warned: around 18:00 he starts moaning about USGS guys being mean to him. That's when I shut it off.

Nutshell for 11:00-18:00: Expect another upper 6 or low 7 in Mexico. Expect notable activity in S. Cali - specifically Santa Barbara to Ventura (can't remember the magnitude)

I feel very off. Everyone I know is.

You can sleep when you have anxiety???
 Quoting: Simple27

Yeah. It doesn't really affect my sleep negatively as long as I am in a comfortable / familiar place like my bed. I have found it really helps the anxiety to sleep in my bed because it is such a comfortable / familiar place. Eating a large comfort meal helps too.
