Craziness. I'd love to know what is causing it. Quoting: Simple27 The effects of quasars, pulsars, and cosmic rays that are pinging off the earth's magnetosphere and have done so since this planet was formed by cosmic chaos which happened much more long ago than was originally thought. The effects particularly of cosmic rays bombarding the earth are a field of study by physicists who can measure when, where, and to what degree the earth was impacted, the lead measure being residual radioactive isotopes. I would not be too alarmed by this phenomena since it's been happening since our earth began. Recent technological advancements in measurement devices and their widespread dissemination to the public may give the appearance of alarming new information. I can assure you that if our magnetosphere was shredded, disheveled, or otherwise corn-holed that we would not be typing about it now. This is not a solar driven event. Quoting: -Haun- That's about all I know lol. Quoting: Simple27 You have your own internal radiation that is a resultant function of the electromagnetism that keeps your atoms [one atom at a time] together. Then, with gravity and the electromagnetics of earth, your body has function and form and all of your atoms are working together. Every single human being gives off very low levels of radiation that can sometimes only be seen through specialized microscopes in a particle physics laboratory. It has not been proven that cosmic rays bombarding earth, which happens all day everyday to one varying degree or another, cannot impact the individual radiation level of an individual person, or groups of persons. This is currently a field of study of particle physicists. The only argument against it is the cosmic particles' masses and energies are converted into other masses and energies after collisions which are more common to earth. The question then becomes is it possible for your internal radiation and magnetism to be impacted by these bombarding rays emanating from the cosmos. Some particle physicists say yes, some theoretical physicists say maybe. Engineers say no way. It depends on which school of study you adhere to. My particular belief is that yes it is possible and yes it can make people feel disoriented, sick, or give them a general feeling of malaise. We do know that externally generated masses of radiation, such as with Chernobyl and Fukushima, can impact how our atoms function and ultimately cause death. The question is can the cosmic rays bombarding earth impact humans in the same way, but to a much lesser degree. PS If anyone has a answer to that and can demonstrate it with accompanying computations you can expect an honorary doctorate from King's College, London. When you read an EKG a superficial glance may suggest the heart is arrhythmic and the graph is all over the place. That maybe the case, but you are not only looking at where the needle is hitting, you are looking for repetition. So even a heart whose EKG looks like a school child's scribble is only important in so that the pattern repeats. Look at the patterns of the magnetosphere over the last several hours. That is the clue of how its responding to external exertion against it. If the magnetosphere was in any way collapsing we would not be typing on the internet and radiation levels of incoming cosmic rays would be off the charts. There would be far too much interference for the internet to continue functioning. We have to wait and see how long this sequential repetition is in terms of over four hours, twelve hours, or three days. That, nobody knows. |
